Gave up wallet and cell phone to two armed robbers, then as they left, gave chase. Was shot and killed.

Why the heck would you give chase for your wallet and cell phone? Is it worth your life?
What was his plan when he caught up to them and they are armed and he is not?

I give no credence whatsoever to reportage this lacking. Sadly it's the rule not the exception this day and age.
