I'm new to this and all my background was 2003 no felony, just misdemeanor and one was dismissed with deferred prosecution not deferred adjudication. Thanks for any input on this just hoping I'm not beating a dead horse hear

Welcome to the forum
Depends. Did you send in certified copies of the final disposition of your arrests along with your application? If so, should not take more than 60 days. If not, they will most likely send you a letter requesting these items. As I understand it, they then start the clock all over so it would be another 60 days from their receipt of the disposition letters.

I did send the certified copy of the one that was dismissed. The other I was convicted for a theft due to a tuxedo rental that wasn't returned in 03 which is ridiculous you asked me I called the tuxedo company inform them that the tuxedo was stolen days after it happened when someone broke into my brothers truck after a wedding.

Should I send a copy of the theft this position also or since it was a conviction do I need to do that?

Well we were in San Antonio my brother was designated to return all of the tuxedos which is 7 of them. My told us that the tuxedos were stolen from the hotel out of his truck days later and did not call the police so I called the tuxedo company and inform them what had happened so we have no police report. all seven of my brothers ended up having warrants for these tuxedos and I happen to be the only one to get arrested and charged after that all of their cases got dismissed because I paid the restitution

You must send in a certified copy of final disposition of any arrest

I had worse background issues than you did. Just get the final disposition of ALL arrests, whether convicted or not, and send them in to satisfy the requirements. 3 weeks after all my paperwork was filed I got my CHL. This was within the last 6 months.

Right now it's taking about 30+ days with a clean record, 60 otherwise from what I've seen.
