Class: 12/13/2015
Fingerprint: 12/22/2015 (Didn't know you could fingerprint before class, I'm stupid)
Documents sent: 12/22/2015
Confirmation of documents e-mail: 12/28/2015
Website change: 03/11/2016 (Oh, HAPPY DAY!)
Plastic in hand: 03/14/2016

Background is as clean as they get, and if anyone wants to compare, I'm a permanent resident and not a citizen (I'm told it doesn't make much difference - we shall see).

Moved to Texas from North Dakota not long ago. Loving the weather so far!

Hello I have the exact time line. I was sent the emails on the 28th of December and my status has not changed. I called yesterday and was able to get a hold of a speaking living person and he told me that I was calling way too soon So there you have it . Good luck hopefully the status changes soon.Good Luck.

IMO, Your timeline of email confirmation should put you around 3rd-4th week of February to 1st week of March. It's really hard to tell exactly.

Thanks! Yeah, I imagined I'd wait more for submitting exactly during the holidays. I was hoping for a V-day present from the DPS, who knows?

dec 14th was my confirmation date, and i am currently in back ground check status, so almost there.

What i understood is that the application is started when they recieve the supporting documents. I recieved email that they recieved them on dec the 29th. Called today and was told that my app is not even processing yet. That the supporting documents take 6 to 8 weeks until they attach to the application and after that it takes another 60 days for the background check. I thought that i misunderstood so i asked 2 more times like a dummy just to make sure i heard right. Note that i sent the supporting documents via email and they confirmed that they do have them and nothing is missing. Even with my humble math skills that is up to 4 months in total which is four times more then my instructor advised. Is the LTC dept backed up this much or i just have plain bad luck?

From what I've been reading, the information you receive can vary depending on whom you talk to.

You have pretty much the same confirmation timeline as I do. I haven't called (yet), but I may do so next week. It depends on how impatient I get.

Someone else in another thread actually has the exact same confirmation as mine and they didn't notice his CHL-100 was attached. So delays can come from anywhere, even if you did everything right.

Dec 29 is def too soon to check status.

I have the same timeline. I called today and was told i am still about 2 weeks out from them starting the process. I think I am just going to try to forget about the whole thing then just be surprised when i get that plastic in the mail. the wait is horrible. i think ill probably get mine in mid to late April. I expected government to move slow, but i did not anticipate a 4 month wait.

Keep your chin up, it'll come. I'm with you, having patience is difficult but what else can you do.

My wife got her email the first Tue in Dec. Plastic came yesterday.

I called on Thursday and they said mine was finishing the background check. Before the lady could say anything else, my phone connection went kaput. I hope she doesn't think I hanged up on her

I Got confirmation on 12/21. Hopefully mine is in the same boat!

I got confirmation 12/21 as well. Still no website update or plastic. I'm hoping this week is my week! Well, our week!
