How many rounds per year?

I'm sure the numbers will cover a wide range, but I have a couple of questions for the forum members. How many rounds per year do you shoot? And, do you shoot more or less than you used to. Is it normal to shoot less as we get older?

I'm getting to the age where I am long of tooth with graying hair. I used to shoot 2,000 rounds or more a year (all guns combined). But, lately it's down to maybe 500-1,000 rounds. I don't competition shoot, never have, so those that do will obviously have higher numbers.

I've never been one to count. But I typically go through about 150 on the rifle range and 200-250 on the pistol range per range visit. I shoot two different .223 rifles and 4 different 9mm pistols per visit. Usually go to the range at least once a month, sometimes twice if the wife, umm, I mean if time permits =)

I shoot less than I used to when I was younger and reloaded more. I have no idea about the round count then or now. :tiphat:

Rough guess would be about a thousand for .45 and .223 and maybe two thousand for 12ga for trap, skeet, and five stand.

Less than 100 per year in each of a few other calibers in various rifles and revolvers.

Now that .22 is easier to get i'll push 3-5,000 rounds of that this year, love my suppressed 22/45! As for everything else, maybe 1,000 rounds of .45 and 500- 1,000 of .300 Blackout. Don't shoot much .223 anymore.

I am looking for a suppressor for my 22/45. I want one with maximum suppression and lowest first round pop. I think I want a AAC Element 2. What do you have? Would you recommend it?

Depending work schedule and money for reloading components; a high of 4500 per year (mostly local area handgun competitions) to a low of 900 per year.

I don't shot as much pistol as I used to......mostly .45 and 9mm. I shoot a fair amount of 5.56/.223 and a bit of .308 now and again. I haven't kept track of round count for a while now, but my sense is that I don't shoot as much as I used to.

Between 100 and 150 per range visit (about once a month).
