Frequency of status changes

Out of curiosity, not impatience, how often do status changes occur? Is it in real time, once every hour, once a day? I'm sitting at 5 weeks and 2 days atm since receiving my confirmation email and I'm sure my status change is coming soon.

What I have noticed is they seem to update in the morning. I could be mistaken though.

There are some here that the status changed when it was mailed, some say they had received the plastic about the same time it changed and others have said it had not changed several days after plastic arrived. So, I think its just whenever they get around to it as busy as they are.
