With the shootings tonight in Texas and likely an AR15 type rifle used get ready for a massive push in my opinion for an AWB or at least special restrictions on them like registration or a special permit required to purchase them.

Also the Dallas News station Fox news is streaming the anchors were bashing open carry in Texas as well.

We got a major push for gun control coming like we have never seen before.

Agreed. I'm watching CNN and that's all they're talking about. A-R 15's are Too much fire power for citizens.... This crap was staged.

Right now we know too little to call for anything. We do not know if the shooter(s) used AR-15s, Winchester Model 70 bolt actions, or H&R break action single shots. However I have already seen people Blaming the NRA, Police, Guns, Republicans, Democrats, Trump, Obama, Left Wing Radicals, Right Wing Radicals, ect. I am also certain someone will blame Jerry Jones as well. What I am not seeing is anyone blaming the perpetrator(s) or waiting until we know actual facts. Instead everyone is trying to politicize this for their own purposes and take advantage of one, or more, killers evil intentions.

Will this be used to try and further Gun Control? You bet, just like it will be used by candidates on both sides of the aisle to campaign against thei opponent who they will claim was directly responsible. In the end we have to be vigilant and we have to fight off these attacks. I can also say that until facts are known we as gun rights activists need to choose our words and state our position carefully we do not have a media that will ignore a lack of facts or intentional inaccuracies from our side but they will gladly afford the other side that advantage.

Yea, I could see one of those BLM morons blaming it on the Cowboys bad season Everything in TX seems to revolve around the Cowboys.

Could Obama tell the ATF to declare the AR and AK destructive devices like the ATF did with the street sweeper? That way no vote by congress is needed and is then illegal to buy ARs.

The threat of any type of gun ban is extremely imminent at this point.

Just watched POTUS live from Poland address the issue. To be fair, it was a decent statement until he politicized it at the end about the problem with powerful weapons available to people. Which he said would need to be addressed later.

Just now, the congressional black caucus just announced they are going to submit legislation for another AWB and background checks for all firearm sales.

i keep seeing news agencies reporting on how many chl holders are in texas and that we allow open carry....which has NOTHING to do with any of this period.

as soon as i heard that it was a rifle (sounded semi auto) i knew today would be an immediate push to ban them before anyone even has the facts of the case and who the shooters were or how the weapons were acquired. for all we know they came from mexico via fast and furious, no one knows anything yet.

Do they realize that the suspect expressed sympathy for BLM and hatred of white people (white cops in particular) according to police? Are they going to push for a ban on gun sales to folks with BLM affiliations? Of course they aren't. But that would be the response if this was someone sympathetic to certain other radical groups.

I am prepared for a AWB push. I am thinking about getting even more prepared, but might need a new safe to do that. My current one is getting pretty full.

Obviously open carry was the main reason this shooting happened. There is no way the shooter could have pulled this off if he had to keep his rifle concealed.....

Since Brown is repeating something that he was not their to hear, he might have been incorrect.

Why don't they just ban hating white people? That would be just as effective as more gun control.

The libs in congress and media need to explain why they blame the police officers for the shootings in LA and MN, but blame the weapon for the police killings in Dallas. The answer is AGENDA.
