Wow, just what we need, another reason for people to keep their eyes glued to their smart phone.

You'd be amazed at how many I've seen today playing this.

It has completely swept through Facebook like a thin gruel though a tall goose. But it is frightening what they are doing with your data, and whom they share it with - including gov't:

My son and his friends are into it. His bike has more miles on it in the last week than the prior 2 years.

If it gets kids off their rearends an outside doing something, it may have some redeeming qualities.
Kids nowadays just aren't going to be entertained by sticks and rocks like many of us were.

Conspiracy theory alert! Pokemon Go is just the latest attempt to distract people from reality of what is going on around them.

I won't lie, I downloaded the app and started to play. The only reason I don't play now is because I had trouble logging in. I didn't even read the privacy agreement. Finally decided to just give up all together. I grew up in the 90s, playing Pokémon was one of my favorite things to do. I was also easily entertained with a stick.
My son plays it all the time, I mean all the time. He jumped out of my wife's car one time to catch a rare Pokémon, it was in park though.
I think after reading these articles, I may delete the app altogether.

The Google account permissions issue 1) only exists on iOS devices and 2) is being fixed in an upcoming update. Also, if you're that worried (and want to play, of course), just create a burner gmail account that has nothing but false data in it. That's what I did for my son.

I deleted mine yesterday. I guess I am getting to old and would rather focus my time on other things.
