Trump cabinet picks
I just read an article on "The Hill" via Twitter that Trump is now floating his possible cabinet picks. Subject to change.
for AG, The current candidates are Chris Christie, Rudy Guliani and Jeff sessions. I don't know much about Jeff sessions, but good God no on Chris Christie, and while I like how Rudy attacks the Democrats, he's no better on guns as far as I know.
Anybody got a number for the Trump headquarters?
Sorry I don't have a link to the article because I'm on my phone looking at it through Twitter, and I can't figure out how to pick up the link.

Jeff Sessions for Attorney General would be a good choice in my opinion.
Juxtapose that with the current gang.

At one time I read Trey's name floated as AG. Oh how I'd love to see that happen.Morbidrealities wrote: Is Trey Gowdy on his list for Cabinet?
Re: Trump cabinet picks
Why does the list have so many Republican establishment insiders?
The Senate has a slim Republican margin now so I don't really want any of the R-Senators leaving their seats.
Apparently Mitch McConnell is already telling the Democrats he won't change filibuster rules so they will be able to block Trump's legislation from reaching a vote.
The establishment is what Trump ran against...better to keep them at arms length as much as possible.

The left lies about everything. Truth is a liberal value, and truth is a conservative value, but it has never been a left-wing value. People on the left say whatever advances their immediate agenda. Power is their moral lodestar; therefore, truth is always subservient to it. - Dennis Prager
Re: Trump cabinet picks
I have suggested and would like to see Rick Perry for Sec of State or Defense.
Mr trump's first order of business should a supreme court nominee. Second should be to replace the FBI director.
Christie doesn't give me any warm and fuzzy's, but still he would be a huge improvement over Lynch.
Rudy is okay. He's proven leadership.
Mr Trump needs to be careful about putting too many "politicians" in cabinet positions. The whole government needs to be looked from an outsider's perspective.

I agree to a point, but with no political experience, there will be a learning curve to overcome, and surrounding yourself with those who have "been there and done that" will help a lot. I do think he needs to be careful that whoever he appoints doesn't have a deeper agenda, or with favors to repay.JMHO

That is an interesting list. Maybe a few too many politicians, but there are a few business people. Newt might be good at Sec of State plus he knows enough about the legislative process to be a good help.

I agree. We need someone very young and conservative who can stay in for a long long time. Unfortunately, I am not sure that he'd get a confirmation.vjallen75 wrote:I read an article last night someone posted on facebook saying Ted Cruz would be perfect for one of his Supreme Court Justice pick..

On the other hand, his non-admiring Senate colleagues might view SCOTUS confirmation as a handy way to vote him off the island.parabelum wrote:I agree. "Justice Cruze" would be interesting.... Justice Ginsberg might not survive the nomination, much less the confirmation.J.R.@A&M wrote:On the other hand, his non-admiring Senate colleagues might view SCOTUS confirmation as a handy way to vote him off the island.parabelum wrote:I agree. You are absolutely right. The Senate would confirm him in record time!Liberty wrote:The thing is most of the Senate would be glad to be rid of him.parabelum wrote:I agree.
