Married - how to change name on LTC

A friend recently got married and asked how she changes her name and address on her LTC.
The on-line application site indicates you can use it to change your address, but doesn't say anything about being able to change your name.
https://txapps.texas.gov/txapp/txdps/chl/
I found a link to a CHL-70 that can be used to change name and address, but it's just a form so it would have to be mailed in.
https://www.dps.texas.gov/internetforms ... CHL-70.pdf
I didn't actually login to the on-line application to see if it also allowed a name change. Does anyone know the answer to that? Or is the mail-in form the only option?

I did a change of address online at the website link you posted about two years ago and I THINK you can use that to change both name and address just like the hard copy form you found. I was only changing address, but again I think there is also a place for name change. I could be wrong and I'm sorry I don't know for sure without logging on and clicking on that option to see.

I think the DL needs to be changed before the name on the LTC can be changed.

Name changes must be done by mail.

Send them a certified copy, not the original.

Or, she keeps her name.
Nothing wrong with that and it's keep everything simple especially if she owns land and/or everything else that has her name on it before marriage.
Of course, I'm quite the modern guy when it comes to things like this and a caveman in other areas.
A woman shouldn't have to change her name - Odd, you don't hear about men having to change their name when marriage comes about, although I think they might in Spain...

I've always viewed this custom not as a "has to" but as a representation of "the two shall become one."

mloamiller ,
O.K. no problem, that's your view.
I'm one of those who find a lot of the marriage associated particulars silly and downright odd.
The woman changing her name, the greedy registering of gifts, (a holdover from when couples started out really poor and in need especially in agrarian times) the wedding expenses of spending and spending and spending for completely unnecessary crap from the dress to the rehearsal dinner to arrrgggghhh, yuck! Then the weird, embarrassing play enacted by all the amateurs. Shudder...
All of that said, obviously I'm more than a curmudgeon when it comes to ceremony - of any kind.
I realize most people find ceremony something they like while I'm the odd man out.
I would guess many more guys if they're honest than women, dislike ceremony too and would do without it, but go along with these thing like the torture of weddings and things ceremonial, to make the women in their lives happy.
Bah Humbug I say!
P.S. I think I may have been influenced by having been raised by my Father without my Mother being in the picture and we lived like bears in the woods, so perhaps, maybe, possibly that background influenced my reticence regarding all things ceremonial...

With all due respect sir, this is not the Oprah or Ellen show.
The question asked was "Married - how to change name on LTC" not "Does Abraham approve?"
