Anyone had any experiences with Advantage Arms Conversion Kits for their GLOCKs? If so, which Kit did you use the LEO Version or Target Version? What ammo do you use? Anyone tried shooting birdshot through it?

I have had 2 of the Advantage Arms .22 conversion kits for Glocks. One for a model 19 and now one for model 34. Both have worked really great and I strongly recommend them. I used the LEO version both times.

Neither one seemed real picky on ammo. I use Federal "Target Grade Performance" in the bulk pack ( 325 rounds ) from Walmart.

The last one I ordered from Advantage Arms took quite awhile to get, they said it was on backorder. I happened to be in Cheaper Than Dirt and there it was, in stock and cheaper than the advertised price. I called the company and they shipped very quickly.

thanks, George

"Anyone tried shooting birdshot through it?"

Methinks it would probably fire, then fail to cycle (due to lighter weight of shot loads).

That's been my experince anyway with shot loads out of .22 semis. (Have had much better reliability with shot loads out of some Glocks and Kahrs).

This has been discussed in another thread, you might be able to find some useful info there.

My two cents: Glock 27, LEO version.

Using CCI ammo, I have no worries.

Using the Remington Golden Bullets I get a lot of practice on malfunction drills. I choose to think of this situation as built-in 'ball and dummy' drill.

Has anyone put aftermarket sights on their AA slide? I was thinking of swapping in XS Express sights for consistency. It's supposed to work, but I'd be interested to hear objective confirmation.

I have my AA kit set up very similar to my IDPA gun...I practice with the .22 a few times a month. It is great fun on a plate rack!

My Glock 17 does not holster properly with the kit installed......the kit is actually a bit wider than the actual Glock slide.

Lots of malfunctions with all of the ammo I have tried. I have not used any CCI out of it. I also use it as malfunction practice...

I would definitely stick with the LE version so you have the option of changing the front sight.
