Where does the lunacy end? Are we going to demolish the Washington and Jefferson monuments in Washington D.C.? Are we going to remove "Washington" from the name of Washington D.C.?

The fact is that slavery was part of our country more than 150 years ago. We're not proud of it, but we own it. Can't change it, unless you think you can really rewrite history. What is more disturbing is why, after more than 240 years since the birth of our country, after more than 150 years since President Lincoln abolished slavery, are people now demanding the removal of our historical figures that shaped our country because of an affiliation to slavery? The people being offended today that are getting worked up into a lather did not actually live in period of slavery in this country.

Why cry over spilled milk? There are much more important things to worry about today!

This is happening, IMHO, because they've finally found something that stuck against the wall regarding Trump.

I am truly sad for our country.

I really believe it is over.

Sadly, I can see this country's history being as accurate as Germany's in the future. "Holocaust? What's that? It never happened..."

Seriously, we can never be in denial of our past, no matter how dark. No US historical hero or influential person was perfect. We can't focus on their fallacies and dismiss their positives. We should rather focus and celebrate their positives and learn from the fallacies.

The constitution was written and endorsed solely by white males, many of which owned slaves. Ultimately the left wants to rewrite this document.

The movement affects just the U.S.A. and serves a political witch-hunt only in my opinion.
European mainstream media is targeting every move Trump makes and especially the German news agencies are loaded with open and hidden and obscured anti Trump tirades.
Facts about currently practiced slavery and child labor in India and other countries goes unnoticed.
The German car industry software cheat is not mentioned anymore in the mainstream media either even though German cars were exported worldwide while the German government announced their leadership in environmental protection.
I guess the saga will continue until financial support for the agitators dries out.

Anyone wants to guess as to why Germans to this day have Auschwitz, Dachau and many other concentration camps open as museum / historical exhibits?

What I have a growing concern over is that the portion of country that wants to transform our country is interested in another civil war.
