Most of the GOP lawmakers who co-sponsored the bill are centrists who are also expected to face tough reelections in 2018.
I pray that includes Primary challengers!

If it passes, it’s time to use them. Period. I don’t think the politicians who are supporting this bill are thinking that far ahead.

Wow, I expect underhanded dealing from the left where they try to slip in a vague bill that will be used against us later, but from multiple republicans (small r emphasis)?

No progress on repealing Obamacare.
No progress on middle class tax relief.
No progress on the hearing protection act.
No progress on LTC reciprocity via full faith and credit like gay marriage.

It's good to know where GOP priorities lie, and where GOP lies about priorities.

The NRA has announced its opposition to the Feinstein/Curbelo bill to ban items that can “increase rate of fire”.

It is instead requesting that ATF once again take a look at bump fire stocks, which it had approved TWICE during Obama’s gun-running administration.
