This is an excellent example of how to get yourself killed during a traffic stop. It's also a terrible example of LEO tactics, IMHO. No doubt, the officers extreme restraint was influenced by the BLM crowd's antics.

I’ve been calling the NFL the National Felon League for that past several years now. I’ve just about lost all respect for the players and the game at this point.

BLM is BLM's own worst enemy. Innocent people do get shot by the police, and a disproportionate number of those people are black. However, defending conduct like this man's is simply asinine. Attacking a police officer carries a high risk of being shot. Full stop. Defending people who were shot while or in the immediate aftermath of attacking a cop does a gross injustice to the police who risk their lives to enforce the law as well as the people who were wrongfully killed.

BLM took what should be a popular cause and turned it into a deeply divisive issue by making the source of the fatal rounds into their sole criterion for outrage. This website is heavily conservative and remains up in arms over the innocent man who was murdered in his apartment, just as it is up in arms over the police murder of two other people here in Houston. The races of the victims and perpetrators in those crimes were reversed, but the justified outrage was the same.

Real change comes from supporting cops while coming down hard on those who dishonor the badge. Defending violent criminals whose behavior ends in predictable fashion does no good whatsoever.

The nature of the NFL has changed drastically as the money has gotten stupider. Many of these troubled players/potentials are from very rough backgrounds. Money simply gives them the means to afford the hood rat lifestyle in relative comfort.

The main reason I feel that these players use drugs ect. Is because they are in so much pain from the sport they are involved in. Don't condone the use of illegal substances but I kind understand why these players would use drugs.
