Democrat candidate kills wife, himself

Police say Carl Robinson killed his wife, Latoya Thompson, while she was working as a receptionist. It happened at the Williams Medical Clinic in Potts Camp around ten Tuesday morning. Police say Robinson shot his wife and then shot himself in the head. She died while on a flight to Regional One in Memphis.
Investigators say the two were going through a divorce and were fighting for child custody.
Robinson was a democratic candidate on the August ballot, aiming to represent district 5, which is the area of Holly Springs.
