Up for sale is a Ruger Number 1 rifle, sporter model, chambered in 30-06. I bought this rifle new and it has never been fired. I'm selling some guns to finance kids college costs and this one is beautiful and interesting, but it just takes up room in the safe.

Not related to the sale, but reminded me of the time I got to shoot a friends Number 1 in, of all things, 458 Winchester Magnum! It was a hand held howitzer. 500 grain JSP at 2000 fps. Fired five rounds, which was six rounds too many!
