What To Do If You Happen Across An Invalid 30.06 Sign

So you know the law specifics regarding a proper 30.06 sign and just before you enter a business, you notice the sign is not lawfully compliant.
Me, I go back to my vehicle and disarm if I really want or need to go in. I just don't care to test the system. That's me. This business has made their intent pretty clear, even if their signage is not by law specifically correct.
What do YOU do?

Pretty much the same thing...But if I can get whatever it is in a place like that somewhere else, and I got time...
I leave them to their own fate...

I tend to ignore invalid signs. By that I mean signs that are obviously non-compliant. I don't go measuring font height and/or determining if there is enough "contrast". If a sign generally looks like a 30.06 sign is supposed to look, I obey it. But if it doesn't, I don't.
I conceal my gun very well. I've never been 'made' that I know of, and I've been doing it long enough that I think I never will be.
So I just go on about my business.

Then I highly recommend this:
http://www.concealedcarrylegal.com/
They have a proven, all-inclusive service with a successful track record...
And not one that provides just a coaching session, a pat on the back, and a hearty "good luck" on your way into a Grand Jury proceeding...
A fabulous investment and peace of mind...
Am I laying it on too thick??? Sue me!

stevie_d_64,
I have yet to read about anyone being arrested after ignoring an improper 30.06. while carrying.
I wonder if this has ever happened and if so what the outcome was?
I also wonder about the cost of defending yourself would be for this scenario using your legal services recommendation?
I get the impression many chance the outcome...

Honestly, me niether...
The contract you get into there at the service I recommended would surprise you...I leave it to you and others to find out, and decide if they think its worth it...
The service doesn't restrict in a sense of whatever you may be arrested/charged with, or what you need in representation after an "incident"...They are extremely knowlegable about the CHL law and other issues, and know what we go through everyday...
If you decide to take a chance with a public defender...That is your choice...It may work, it may not...

Some stores post signs just to make their customers feel better.
I walked into the Macy's at 610 @ 290 and noticed a small faded sign on the door.
No Soliciting
No Photography
No Camera's
No Weapons
I've never seen them check for a camera, a camera phone, or a pocket knive, in fact they sell them!
I kind of use the rule of thumb, if they are way out of compliance, they really don't mean us CHL holders. Of course I may regret that one day,

Have you ever read of someone being arrested for violating a valid one? I'm sure its haapend but I've not read or heard of it.

I had to go into Sadler Clinic the other day in the Woodlands, typical gunbuster sign with incorrect verbage for us. I did go & disarm, not wanting to.
Will have to look into the insurance a little deeper. I can see my paypal account getting a tad smaller!

I went to a taco cabana and they had the proper 30.06 sign on one door, but not the other if I would have parked on the other side of the restaurant then I wouldnt have seen it. Would you as a CHL holder be responsible for that?

I respect their wishes and spend my money somewhere else.

Maybe.
Many places have 30.06 signs at some entrances and not at others, particularly malls.
The law does not specifically require signs at all entrances.
So
if you were spotted and
if they called the police and filed a complaint, you
might be arrested.
I've never seen a report of such a thing happening. I don't recall any report of a CHL holder being charged under 30.06. The statistics
here make it difficult to tell.

Nope, not in either case...

Thats been the general consensus as long as I can remember...
And the financial impact has been argued as minimal to the poster...But to me, that's beside the point...

A full size sign? Where was this? I've seen a couple of them but they were just teeny tiny thangs. I didn't think they actually would post the real full monty.
