Bellmore, LI, NY: Former NYPD uses .38 Chief on road rage attacker.

Bellmore, Long Island, NY is in Nassau County, which is the half of LI that is closer to NYC than Suffolk County, LI, which is the outer half of LI.
The road rage attacker had previously been arrested for attacking a Suffolk County LEO. Now he's tangled with a former NYPD LEO in Nassau County.
Although this appears to be a "good shoot" since the former LEO was being assaulted with a heavy duty metal flashlight, the LEO has been stripped of his carry permit. I assume they took his .38 Chief for evidence.
I would like to think that this former LEO will get his carry permit back after the DA looks things over, but hey, this is NYS, where everyone with a gun is a criminal. Even former LEO's.
