The wikipedia article on Wilson mentions that he has designed a small reactor using uranium and plutonium that is not weapons grade. It could be buried in the back yard and only needs refueling once every thirty years. It would produce about 50MW of power. At age 14, Taylor Wilson (born in Texarkana, Arkansas) became the youngest ever to achieve nuclear fusion. That was in 2008.

I am reminded of the story of the man from Arkansas who lost a fuse to his headlights in his pickup after frog gigging at night. He used a 22 cartridge in its place. Supposedly the cartridge heated due to the current and discharged. Shrapnel apparently went in the one place a male driver would not want it to go.
