Rep. Gaetz Calls on ATF to Cease Plans Restricting Arm Brace Usage

Congressman Matt Gaetz announced today on his podcast the ATF is crafting secret rules restricting the possession of certain pistol braces by American citizens, and that he has sent them a letter demanding they stop.
"We understand that ATF is currently considering restricting one arm brace model owned by over 700,000 Americans," Congressman Gaetz writes along with six other members of Congress. "We strongly urge ATF to cease taking any actions and reconsider or rescind any secret determinations which call into question the legality of firearms owned by millions of law-abiding Americans."

Wouldn't it be nice if a "defund/abolish NFA 1934" could be slipped in a bill...a big bill...of epic proportions...you know, along the lines of "we have to pass it to know what's in it!!"

The defund portion has already been done in part, hasn't worked in our favor since 1986.

If my brace becomes illegal, I'll gladly take it off.
And put a legitimate rifle stock in its place.
The ATF along with other federal law enforcement agencies could be defunded for all I care. I don't believe the founders intended for there to be an ATF, FBI, DEA, and others.

Looks as though the ATF has sent a cease and desist letter to Q regarding the Honey Badger AR Pistol. I'm not positive as to why but could certainly open up the flood gates with regards to pistol braces again.

How do they square the fact they approved the arm braces, then after thousands are in circulation to suddenly ban them? I Know it's the GOVT but thay makes 0 sense!
Does the term arbitrary and Capricious come to mind?

Is this yet another effort by the DC establishment to hurt Trump’s re-election? Bureaucrats push a narrative that they know will anger Trump supporters while Trump is not aware of their actions?
