Zombie birds?

Post by A-R »

Wondering if these thousands of dead birds from Arkansas, and also Louisiana and Kentucky apparently, will soon re-animate, rising from the dead with a taste for chicken.

More importantly, who directs the movie with shades of Hitchcock and Romero?

And does this return the ol' shotgun to it's rightful place atop the list of best zombie-killing weapons?

How often do dove hunters using a shotgun make head shots? Zombie birds are still zombies and ignore a lot of damage unless you destroy the brain or remove the head completely.
I believe the basic political division in this country is not between liberals and conservatives but between those who believe that they should have a say in the personal lives of strangers and those who do not.

DO NOT, repeat, DO NOT, use a flamethrower for zombie birds. Don't ask how I know this.

It's only acceptable to use a flamethrower if you wrap them in bacon first.
This will only hurt a little. What comes next, more so.

Today's news .........

Dead birds in

Sweden
and
Texas

I'm thinking its the same flock of dead birds, just taking off when no one is looking, and flying elsewhere, then dying again .... they just want to stay in the news.

There not dead, just really, really tired. It's a long way from Sweden.

I think it's the Norwegian Blue that pines for the fjords.

I keep a birdfeeder in one of the trees in my backyard. Mostly doves and finches, but I had some cardinals and bluejays take up nearby residence a couple of years ago.

What's a little odd is that they are now feeding in the middle of the night, not during the day. I no longer hear any owls at night...or any other animals, come to think of it. And the birds' eyes actually seem to be glowing a bright yellow-amber color. Easily visible in the dark. Odd.

I'm sure it's just a seasonal thing that I just haven't noticed before. But, geez, they sure are eating a lot more seed than usual...

More than 200 ibises, ravens, ducks, gulls and a pelican were found dead or convulsing near Perth, raising fears of a mass poisoning.
The discovery comes less than a year after the mystery deaths of 200 gulls only a few miles away, and two years after thousands of birds fell from the skies over the coastal town of Esperance after being poisoned by lead carbonate.
