WTS: Kimber Stainless Ultra Carry II plus extras... NEW PICS

Post by The Annoyed Man »

I've decided to put my Kimber Stainless Ultra Carry II up for sale. For those not familiar with this pistol, it is an alloy-framed 1911 with a stainless steel slide, in an "officers" configuration.

I'm asking $700 for this gun, and I'm pretty firm on the price.

Here is a link to the Kimber page for this gun: http://www.kimberamerica.com/1911/ultra ... a-carry-ii.

THE GUN
  • Original Specifications:
    • Caliber: .45 ACP
    • Height (inches) 90° to barrel: 4.75
    • Weight (ounces) with empty magazine: 25
    • Length (inches): 6.8
    • Magazine capacity: 7
    • Recoil spring (pounds): 18.0
    • Full-length guide rod
    • Frame Material: Aluminum, Satin Silver finish, 1.28" wide
    • Slide Material: Stainless steel, Satin Silver finish
    • Barrel: 3" stainless steel match grade "bull," ramped, left hand twist 16
    • Sights: Fixed low profile, Radius (inches): 4.8" (my gun has factory installed night sights which are still bright, and which add about $120 or so to the $991 MSRP for this pistol)
    • Grips: Black synthetic, Double diamond
    • Trigger: Aluminum, match grade, Factory setting (approximate pounds): 4.0 - 5.0
    Upgrades:
    • I have added an ambidextrous thumb safety to this gun.
EXTRAS:
  • 3 Kimber stainless steel 7 round magazines (1 is original to the gun, and 2 I purchased from Kimber directly)
  • 1 Tripp Research 7 round Cobra Mags
  • 1 Hogue "wrap-around" style grips with finger grooves (the original grips are currently mounted, but I'll include the Hogue grips in the sale price)
FLAWS:
  • "Idiot Mark" (courtesy of my son) from the slide stop lever on the left side of the frame.
  • Scuff mark underneath the ambi-safety on the right side of the frame, caused by the lever's contact with the frame.
  • A little bit of holster wear to the finish on the top of both the front and rear sights. This does not affect the sight picture.
Total round count is in the vicinity of 2,000 or so (I don't have an exact count). The gun is still tight and functions flawlessly. Accuracy is very good. I will be attaching some photos of everything later today.

I also have the following LEFT-HANDED holsters available to fit this gun (or any 3" 1911), and they are available separately, price to be determined if anyone is interested:
  • Galco "Royal Guard" IWB (rough out tan horsehide, MSRP $129.95)
  • Galco "Concealable Belt Holster" OWB (black, MSRP $104.95)
  • DM Bullard "IWB" (brown Herman Oak leather, MSRP $80.00)
Anyway, like I said I'll post pictures later today, and I'm asking $700. I don't have a lot of wiggle room in that and I need cash so no trades will be considered........unless you are offering to trade a NIB Springfield XDM45 Compact. Not interested in any other guns, just that one, and I'm selling this one to buy one of those (and a holster for it). Serious offers only.

Thanks for looking.

PS, forgot to add that original black plastic Kimber case is included.

Edited to add: I would prefer FTF in DFW Metroplex, but I'm willing to drive a little ways to meet somebody half way if it's not too far. PM me your location if you want to know how far is "too far."

Edited to add pictures:

This shows the scuffed finish under the ambi-safety on the right sight of the frame. I used a PhotoShop filter that makes the scuff "pop" so it is easier to see:

Here's what it looks like right now:

That's all the pics I currently have. I can take more if anyone is serious about wanting more.

I didn't receive a PM from you, and I got two others today. Are you sure you sent it to me and not someone else?

The gun is still available, and I added some pics to the OP.

I'm a Kimber collector, always buying and selling, always looking for good used ones, and I prefer the Ultra and Pro series.

Your price is right on the money, especially since your stainless UCII already has factory night sights on it.

However.... I just bought a new Sig P938 Extreme 9mm yesterday and that is my gun money for the month.

Dang it, one day makes all the difference in the world....... :banghead:

Not since the last batch I sold a few months back. I've picked up a CDP Ultra II and a Solo since then. If the Sig P938 works out, I might be selling the Solo.
