Re: Beretta PX4 sub compact 9MM Great Gun!!
Trying to Be cost effective and keep to a few calibers myself. Can't see myself getting into the reloading scene. I don't trust my reloading skills and I'm quite fond of all ten of my fingers. All but retired my 38 Spl. Guns and keep a few boxes of ammo in the safe for them. Find walmart to be the ...

You are right about Texas. In fact, any state is better than NY. Not only is Texas more gun friendly it
is more friendly in every which way. There is something about NYorkers that makes them think that

Born Elmhurst General hosp. And lived a block behind the Jackson theatre on 82nd & Roosevelt also lived in long island city, richmondhill 70 to 96 and eventually Suffolk county 96 to 2011. I find Texas to be nicer by far. Definately more shooter friendly. NY state ban is bad enough with ...

Re: Beretta PX4 sub compact 9MM Great Gun!!
Grew up riding the 7 train from Roosevelt into Manhattan. They've updated some things and changed the smell. They're out sourcing the "aroma" now.
BTW if your considering as I am, picking up one of the larger models, be aware that of the three Px4 models the sub-compact, compact and full size ...

Re: Beretta PX4 sub compact 9MM Great Gun!!
Ah yes, the dirty water dogs. Don't miss them too much. Those guys probably haven't changed the water in those carts since 65' anyway.

Re: Beretta PX4 sub compact 9MM Great Gun!!
Former NYC guy turned Texan aswell. I also picked up the subcompact in 9mm last month and had a little trouble reassembling it. The take down pin didn't want to reinsert back through the frame. I figured it was just tight fitting parts. Took a bit of time but got it back together. Really like the ...

Re: Grips: Rossi R351 five shot 38 spl. FYI
Update;
Called Rossi/braztech to see if the grips on the R35102 .38 spl and the R46102 .357 mag. are interchangeable.
Waited on hold from clean shaven til ZZ Top beard grew in and finally gave up. Just as well, the Pachmayr compac for Rossi (small frame) I picked up, fit perfectly. Well that's my ...

Re: Grips: Rossi R351 five shot 38 spl. FYI
Took a while but here' a few pics with the factory rubber grip removed. Not great shots but if I can get them to upload properly, will illustrate the above mentioned hole in the R351 frame and the Rossi 68 wood grip issue. Got the pachmayr compac grips and find them to be a better fit and a bit ...

Re: Grips: Rossi R351 five shot 38 spl. FYI
Valid point. Will do. Tried contacting their parent company Taurus about a year ago and got caught in a roller coaster of phone transfers. I got off the phone a little dizzy, queezy and without a solid answer. Found the answer on another forum though but like I said, I'll give it a try. Thanks. I'll ...

Re: Grips: Rossi R351 five shot 38 spl. FYI
Got the 2" 38. cal Rossi (Pretty much a decent copy of the S&W model 36 chief) last month. They also had a 3" gun in the counter. I like that the Rossi has a shrouded ejector rod unlike the S&W model 36. The 357 guns (model 461) seem to have a slightly bigger frame than the 38 (plus an addition ...

Re: Grips: Rossi R351 five shot 38 spl. FYI
Thank for the welcome and the user control panel tip. (surprise I'm armed)I'll definately use it. Actually Braddock7 was a character from an old sci-fi book I read years ago. Seemed to be fitting and wasn't taken. Retired from NYC but I've been through Braddock,pa just east of Pittsburgh. As far as ...

Grips: Rossi R351 five shot 38 spl. FYI
:patriot: New guy here. New to Texas, new to CHL and new to forum. I wanted to share some info about the Rossi R351, a 5 shot 38spl. I picked up at Academy sports for $250. Not a bad gun. No smith, ruger or colt but it serves it's purpose. The factory grips are very comfortable but big. So here's ...
