Re: Stopped by Louisiana State Police
The play by play continues . . .
Talked to a nice lady in the Natchitoches District Attorney's office as I was instructed to do so last week.
My ticket is still not in 'the system' so I was instructed to call back in two weeks. She did say that we'd most likely be able to reduce the ticket but not ...

Re: Stopped by Louisiana State Police
Update: I called the Natchitoches ticketing department again to follow up about deferred adjudication and the extra $30 charge. I spoke with someone and inquired about the deferred adjudication program for out of state drivers like myself and was told that I just need to call in on Monday and speak ...

Re: Stopped by Louisiana State Police

LOL, thanks I needed that.. My toes get chilly this time of year so regular old tennis shoes and a tshirt for me. There is one thing I didn't mention that may also be a ...

Re: Stopped by Louisiana State Police
Ok so what were you supposed to do that you didn't? He wanted you to handle your gun prior to leaving the car and leave it in the car or tell him sooner while you were still in the car that you were a CHL?
The officer expected that I would leave my gun in the car prior to exiting the car to ...

Re: Stopped by Louisiana State Police
If he is simply paying the fine for a traffic violation without going to court, there shouldn't be any court costs? EggBanjo, would you mind clearing this up as to whether the $230 includes additional court costs or if it is simply the fine listed on the ticket? :headscratch

Re: Stopped by Louisiana State Police
so, what was the ticket for? Changing lanes? I move to the left lane if I see ANY car parked on the side--never know when someone might step around it into traffic.
The ticket was for 'failure to yield to an emergency vehicle'. I've almost always changed lanes when a vehicle is on the side of the ...

Stopped by Louisiana State Police
My first stop ever. I'm 40 years old and have behaved well for the most part, or I'm just lucky. So off to Louisiana to visit family for the New Year holiday I go. I've got my wife and 3 kids in the car, and it was like driving a hearse, everyone fast asleep. The speed limit on I 49 between ...
