Pulled over in OK
A couple of weeks ago, my wife and I were driving down US 69 through Oklahoma on our way back to DFW after a family vacation in Branson. My wife was driving, and I was in the passenger seat (yes, it's an important part of the story). My M&P9c was in the passenger side door next to me (completely ...

Re: Florida man commits suicide at gun range
Sheriff's deputies went to his home in Tamarac, about five miles from the gun range, but got no answer when they knocked on the door, according to the Sun-Sentinel. The officers went into the home and found the man's 45-year-old wife dead in a bedroom.

:iagree: There was a gun surge in early '09 when BHO was inaugurated, and I could definitely see that happening again. (I honestly don't think he'll be re-elected, but I suppose anything is possible.)

Although gun owners can easily qualify for concealed permits in some remote and rural counties, it is all but impossible for residents of densely populated counties, where the majority of Californians live, unless the gun owner can prove an actual threat .

Your link isn't working for me (perhaps because it's a mobile address). Here's a good link to the story: http://www.statesman.com/news/local/no-bill-in-homicide-case-leaves-mother-with-2170307.html?printArticle=y

Re: Sometimes it's best to stay uninvolved
In this case, I agree with you. The two women were not in any immediate danger, but put themselves in such by making their presence known and thus making them a danger to the burglar . They should have called the police instead and documented everything they possibly could about the situation and ...

Re: Manufacturing for 12 days
Mine changed to "Manufacturing" on 2/17, was the same last night, and was changed to "Mailed" when I checked this morning around 8:05 am (2/22). I've noticed that all my status changes have usually taken place first thing in the morning (they must do a batch update or something), so I would check ...

Mine went to "Manufacturing" on 2/17 and just turned to "Mailed" this morning (2/22). I was worried yesterday that their printer was broken again, but I guess it's working... for now.

NH does have concealed carry permits, though the article doesn't mention whether or not this gentleman possessed one. (Side note: no reciprocity with Texas)

Welcome!
The medical professional/gunowner dynamic has always interested me. Some (not me) view such a person as a hypocrite for saving lives all day, but at the same time being prepared to take lives if the necessity arises. It's an extremely ignorant accusation, IMO, but one that I've heard ...

Re: Introduction and a question
The company I work for has no signage anywhere which prohibits firearms, and our employee handbook says absolutely nothing one way or the other on the subject. Our VP (who calls all the shots since the Pres is semi-retired) recently installed a gun safe in his house and has a pheasant mounted on his ...
