Re: Attn Math whizzes

As a forum member with a degree in mathematics, I find this to be the simplest answer: http://bfy.tw/LLnP

But Sodbuster’s grandson has a more elegant solution.

Re: The Boy Scouts Filing Bankruptcy After A String Of “Woke” Decisions Caused It To Go Broke

This disappoints me immensely. I have many great memories in the BSA. To see this once great organization brought to its knees by progressives is a wrong I will not easily forget.

Genuine Mags or aftermarket?

I'm buying some new mags for my Ruger Mark II 22/25. To all the wise ones out there: is there REALLY a benefit to buying genuine Ruger parts vs. aftermarket mags such as MecGar ? At nearly half the price, I'm finding it hard to buy the Ruger brand parts, unless someone here has a better suggestion b...

Re: HB 497 - Add Types and Uses of Ammunition to Required LTC Course Curriculum

:iagree: LTC class is not for novice shooters and is not a how to carry strategy and tactics course. Less is more. It's not supposed to be but they show up anyway. And they come more often than you might expect. Personally I think I’d be doing them (and the general public) an injustice if I didn’t ...

Re: HB 497 - Add Types and Uses of Ammunition to Required LTC Course Curriculum

We have to pass the bill so you can read it.... Well, that's not quite true. The bill verbiage is posted for all to see: https://capitol.texas.gov/tlodocs/86R/billtext/pdf/HB00497I.pdf#navpanes=0 It seems all they want to do is add information about different types of ammunition and their uses to t...

Re: Concealed holsters

I'm a big guy, and I love my Crossbreed holsters. You'll need a good gunbelt, about two inches bigger than your normal belt size.
It took me about 2-3 days of carrying with my Crossbreed to get comfortable with it, and I carry a full sized gun in it every day.

Re: Can Beto O’Rourke really beat Ted Cruz?

I heard an interesting analysis as I was flipping across channels tonight. On CBS (of all places), they were talking about the probable narrow lead for Ds in the House, and the probable gains in the Senate for the Rs. They drew the parallel with Clinton in his election rebid - how it really helped h...

Re: LTC Not Accepted at Polling Location

I’m working the polls again this year, as I always do. The machine will scan the DL, but the LTC, DL, Passport, or any of a number of forms of ID are accepted. We’ve had an unusually large number of passports used this year. As far as telling someone that they MUST use a DL, that is not allows. Sure...
