Re: .357 Magnum Revolver recommendations

Yes, the Ruger SP101 is a fine little magnum in both .357 and .327.

R1 is a nice gun for the price. No problems with either of mine.

Re: .357 Magnum Revolver recommendations

New Vaquero .357 would be a great choice:

Re: Anybody daily carry a single action revolver?

I understand all the naysayer replies, but single action shooting is the most comfortable for me personally. I wouldn't feel defenseless with the Vaquero's six rounds for SD carry. As for reloads, I like the New York method - a backup 7+1 Kahr CT380 in my case. :tiphat: Having said that, I do keep a...

Re: What Do Texas Rangers Carry?

The only Ranger I've ever seen in person was in the aftermath of the 1966 UT Tower sniper mass murder (Charles Whitman). When the shootout was over and a couple thousand of us were milling around the Mall below the Tower, I saw a Texas Ranger in a dark suit & Stetson (or a Resistol - couldn't tell) ...

Anybody daily carry a single action revolver?

If I could find a decent & reasonably priced shoulder rig, I'd consider carrying my new New Vaquero .357 under a windbreaker jacket:

Re: Gun Ban at Austin City Hall

If the CoA officials persist in trying to flaunt the law, then the individuals who engage in banning the legal carriers should be personally charged and fined..... then fired. They are the criminals. It's getting tiresome to see the taxpayers footing the bill for CoA employee screw-ups, and there is...

Re: Whataburger's Gun Policy (Ugh)..........

I seriously doubt that WB is going to notice the loss of business from a handful of OC folks.

I shall continue to CC when chowing down on my A1 Thick & Heart burger washed down with a chocolate shake.

Re: Iconic gunmaker Colt is on the brink of bankruptcy

For Colt’s Native American suitors, it’s not just business; it’s history, interest and commitment, their attorney said. “We have gone to great lengths to get our hands on Colts,” he said. “Just ask General Custer.” "rlol" My new Series 70 .45 in stainless - VERY nice: http://images.yuku.c...

Re: Do you really expect any different in TX?

According to the court documents, the legality of open carry in the state was never in question, only if law enforcement had the authority to detain an individual simply because they were open carrying a firearm. U.S. District Judge Janet Neff determined that yes, officers do have that authority. I...

State Capitol building reciprocity?

Last week I took a North Dakota friend to see the State Capitol building. In accordance with the state procedure I got to bypass the security line with my Texas CHL (yes, I was carrying). However, the troopers told my friend his North Dakota CHL wasn't good to do the same (he was not carrying). So h...
