Re: Houston firefighters pay raise

I am sure Houston firefighters are great people and I bet their union really pushed this but asking the electorate to approve pay raises is ridiculous. What about all of the support people who may work harder? They won't get the raise. Government employee raises shouldn't be decided by the electorat...

Re: Boycott Benchmade

I guess you can say when I started this topic I was quite passionate in my initial response. But after reading through everyone's responses I can agree that destroying ones own property they bought is overkill. I'm not perfect by any stretch of the imagination. But I will say this. I am not sorry f...

Re: Remington UMC 9mm issue

My favorite 9mm 115 gr is Fiocchi which happens to also be very inexpensive. GunTests.com rated Fiocchi a best buy. I reload 9mm but Fiocchi is usually on sale and almost not worth my time reloading. Usually can get 1000 rounds at a time with free shipping. Also Atwoods and Academy frequently have o...

Re: TX: Teen attempts to rob license holder during OfferUp meet

Our local police department has a location for sales such as this in their parking lot but they don't allow firearm, drugs or alcohol sales. I need to ask our local police chief why legal items can not be purchased in their "safe" spot.

Re: .44 Special O.K. in Browning M 92?

If you Google this you find some guns will handle .44 special and some won't. Buy a box and try it. If it doesn't handle the .44 special you can load .44 magnums light enough to simulate .44 special.

Re: Swapping pistol sights

Acronym is FORS, Front site Opposite, Rear site Same. So if in your case if the V in the rear site is now lower than before you would shoot lower, and for example if the rear site has moved to the right you would shoot to the right. The front site on your gun is unchanged but for example if the fron...

Even worse. My stupid sibs have done this crazy testing so potentially my privacy is now invaded even though I have not been tested.

Re: Shooting Qualification While Pregnant

Doctor's OK in writing. I don't want to be giving medical advice or be held liable. Correct answer. And no doctor with any brains will give you an okay in writing. My advice, don't do this while pregnant. Without blood tests we don't know lead exposure and I don't know any way to predict the affect...

Re: National Conceal-Carry. No Hope

Well, now that the democrats control the House and given the 60-vote cloture rule in the Senate it appears, sadly, that national conceal carry legislation has about a zero chance of becoming law. :( I am disappointed in President Trump. He did not have the votes to repeal Obama-Care nor does he hav...

LTC holders have a lower criminal rate than LEO[...] I've seen this stated several times. Do you have any statistics to support it? I've looked but can't find anything clear. I want to be able to back it up when someone argues. Here is another source https://www.dailywire.com/news/8255/report-conce...

Re: Enhanced LTC

So some think it is okay to have superior and inferior LTC licenses. I don't agree. LTC holders have a lower criminal rate than LEO have and we should be allowed to go anywhere a LEO can go. And I haven't seen too many LTC holders drop a gun from a holster and shoot someone while doing back flips. J...
