Re: Today in Trump's new term as President

California judge dismisses Stormy Daniels lawsuit against Donald Trump and requires her to pay his legal fees. Can you imagine the cost of the legal fees for the POTUS??? Probably a 1/2 dozen lawyers over the course of 18 months at what? $1000/hr? I hope Trump tries to cash the check and it...

Re: 74+ year old in-laws wanting to get their LTC and new guns

The S&W 642 weighs 14.4 oz. The Ruger LCR in .38 special weighs 13.5 oz. My wife refuses to shoot the LCR as she can't handle the recoil and that is not with +p ammo so for sure let them try the 642 first with at minimum regular ammo and maybe +p before you buy. Just because someone is senior doesn'...

U.S. Voter records sold, including Texas

An interesting article on the possible hacking and use of voting records from 19 states, including Texas. This material is for sale, for the right price. This may be legally obtainable material but certainly can be used in an election. https://www.zdnet.com/article/us-voter-records-from-19-states-so...

Re: Trouble Purchasing Rifle at Walmart

From the 4473 1. Transferee's/Buyer's Full Name (If legal name contains an initial only, record "IO" after the initial. If no middle initial or name, record "NMN".) Last Name (Including suffix (e.g., Jr, Sr, II, III)) First Name Middle Name It looks like on the 4473 if you have a middle name you mus...

Perhaps they killed you if you didn't pass your reading test in Cuba. I would bet that most of the 6 million Jews that Hitler killed were literate too.

Re: LCR 9mm v. 38 Special snub

I have a .38 LCR and it's a nice little gun. First shot is snakeshot and only carry on my ranch area. If you are going to carry snakeshot in these lightweight guns you will have cartridge migration and lockup so be aware. I like the gun and my wife hates it. Too much kick for her even with light loa...

Re: 4 Women Indicted in North Texas Voter Fraud Ring

I believe Texas Monthly ( but not sure) had an article about this type of senior voting scam going on in much of the state. Hard to prove as these "community organizer" type help these seniors vote. I don't imagine that republicans were the ones being voted for. I hope they get long prison sentences.

Finally something I can't agree with Trump about, increased ethanol in gasoline. Terrible stuff in gasoline.

Re: Turkey: Saudi journalist last seen at Saudi consulate in Turkey

So a country that is known for brutal punishments (cutting off the hands of thieves, stoning rape victims for adultery, etc) may have killed one of their citizens on that country's soil - embassies are considered to be that country's territory I believe. I'm confused as to why we care so much about...

Re: Medical Facilities

Some time ago on the board, someone mentioned that an organization called something like "Texas Hospitals Association" or some similar umbrella name, recommended that all Texas hospitals post both 30.06 and 30.07 as part of "best practices". All Texas hospitals seem to adhere to this practice. As f...

As mentioned earlier USAA is the best but I don't know that it is available for non-military. I had Allstate once, you are not in good hands with them. I'm a veteran so I could use USAA. I'm just not a fan of their anti-2A stance. I have been a member since 1972. I don't recall anything that implie...

Re: Glad I carry

This might be a concern.. "Texas permits the commissioners courts to regulate the discharge of firearms on lots that are “10 acres or smaller and are located in the unincorporated area of the county in a subdivision.” So, perhaps you need 11 acres. I have 89 acres. We are looking for unincorporated...
