Re: Question about conceal carry in car

My interest in this is that I am left handed, and drawing from on-body concealment inside the car is problematic. I'm a pretty big guy, driving an older Pathfinder. The center console is neither big enough nor easily accessible enough in an emergency to store a gun in there. With the gun on my left ...

Re: Dropped a loaded gun for the first time; all appears wel

I had a very similar incident with my M&P 40. I had been target shooting on the back of my property. When finished, I put in a freshly loaded magazine, chambered a round, and laid the gun beside me on the seat of my Kawasaki Mule. I drove back to the barn and as I was getting out of the Mule seat ...

Re: I just got in trouble for screaming at the TV!

So what you are saying is the bombing in Boston should not affect the immigration bill, just as the Sandy Hook school shooting did not affect the assault weapons bill, high capacity magazine bill, universal background check/gun database bill.

All I'm saying is that it ticks me off when political ...

I just got in trouble for screaming at the TV!

I was channel surfing earlier tonight when I stopped to listen to a discussion on CNN. Anderson Cooper had a panel of 4 or 5 other esteemed Liberals on and they were discussing the proposed Immigration Bill. Now I know from the start which way CNN leans, and I am not a regular viewer, but I am ...

Re: Were you one of the first?

I sent off for the paperwork, got the huge pack in the mail, and read thru it. I had an arrest for DWI in the late 70s in another state. At that time, DWI was not the big deal it is now. I could not decide if it was something I needed to report, and did not really want to dig up old skeletons, so I ...

What exactly is in this??

So, I finally got my CHL in the mail a few days ago. I noticed it has the magnetic strip on the back as does the Texas DL. I know this contains some sort of embedded information. Can anyone tell me exactly whats on it? What is it used for? Has anyone had their CHL swiped thru a reader?

Just curious ...

Re: Plastic in hand!!!

Between waiting for CHL application status updates, waiting for my Beltman gun belt, and waiting for someplace to get in some ammo, it seems like all I am doing is waiting. I did get my White Hat Max-Tuck holster in last week though. Took about 4 weeks to get it.

My wait is finally over! Plastic ...
