Proceed. DPS will let you know if they want to see copies of the case paperwork. Besides, if you file your application today, It will be at least 3 weeks before DPS even opens your application to begin working on it. Good luck.

3 weeks before any acknowledgement on the website, 3 weeks in BG check, and 1 week to mfg and mail. 7 weeks door to door. Relax and be patient. Good luck.

The wording of the status of "waiting on receipt of required materials" really should be changed. It really means "waiting on DPS to get around to processing the received paperwork and updating the website".

As Oldgrumpy stated, don't expect to see an update on the website for at least 2 weeks from the date you think they received it. Mine actually took 3 weeks before it showed up on the website. My BG check took 2 1/2 weeks (1/25 to 2/13). Relax. Yours should be done anytime now.

Status changed to "Mailed" today (2/16).
So its looking like mailbox (1/2/2013) to mailbox (2/21/2013 ????) is taking about 7 weeks.

Took them 2 1/2 weeks for me to do the BG check.

Started BG review on 1/25, end on 2/13.

I checked today (2/13). Background complete and now in "Manufacturing pending". Status changed sometime in the last few days.
