Re: Minnesota Supreme Court Rules a vehicle on a Road is a Public Space!

Your RV example might be a better analogy. The RV is in a public place, so a weapon in it is in a public place also. It fails when you try to extend it to the shower because that requires a person to view it, not just the mere possession of something. To show how it fails, your home is generally a ...

Re: Minnesota Supreme Court Rules a vehicle on a Road is a Public Space!

Hypothetical case: You are in your motor home. Let's say you park your RV in a post office parking lot (which is a public place). If you take a shower in your RV, are you committing public indecency by being nude in a public ...

Re: Flashlight reviews

For everyday use, I carry a Nitecore TINI2 (https://flashlight.nitecore.com/product/tini2). It's 500 lumens max, 1 lumen min, with 5 brightness steps. It's rechargeable with a built-in battery, has a lockout mode, and is designed for pocket keyring carry. $40.

For work (I spend a LOT of time in ...

Re: Clean your electricity and save money

Like any good scam, there is some truth in this article. But most of it is bunk (I can say that word, can't I? Although I thought a different one...). Power factor correction is an issue for large facilities that use a lot of motors. It is NOT an issue for a normal residence.

To put it simply, the ...

If you are referring to the usual "electrical wiring as plumbing" analogy, then this is backwards. Volts equals pressure, amps equals flow rate.

Re: Weird electrical issues at my home!

To the OP:

If you choose to file a claim with your homeowner's insurance, please:

1. Document when the last time someone was in the house before the event.
2. Document when the first person returned to the house and how they discovered the loss.
3. Prepare to answer questions about any past ...

I was asked that once. I just pointed forward and said, "That way." I didn't get any more questions from the officer. Also got a warning.

Re: The thread where we thank Mr. Cotton

As the father of a college student who turns 21 in 6 weeks, I want to thank you, Mr. Cotton. Because of the Campus Carry bill, my son has decided to get his CHL this summer. I also used this bill to get him interested in the state legislature and he watched the vote yesterday with me. He now has a ...
