Re: CJ Grisham is at it again
Not a huge fan of a lot of the actions of CJ, but I can personally vouch that smith county is super Anti-2A despite being 'staunch republicans'. Its a 'right's for me and none for thee' attitude. They have several areas that are NOT courtrooms barricaded or signage from CC entry including the ...

Re: CJ Grisham is at it again
I will be watching how this turns out. I have skin and blood in CJ’s stunt at the Smith County court house.
It’s going to be interesting how it plays out with Smith County. I hate how he claims to be a retired LEO because of some technicality with LEOSA and his time in the Army that allows him ...

CJ Grisham is at it again
CJ Grisham is suing Smith County for not letting him carry his firearm into the courthouse under his retired LEO creds. I never knew he was a LEO.

Re: Part Time LEOs cannot work off duty jobs.
If only I could go back 11yrs when I made this thread,LOL! Still in LE and getting my private security license was a breeze. Fill out the application online and pay $57 then walla! Plastic in the mailbox. I did have to get on with a local security company to make it official but it wasn’t an issue.

Re: New Suppressor Law = No Good
I cannot wait to slap a “Made in Texas” suppressor on my AR. Maybe the prices will drop some as well.

Re: HB 121
Took my legal update from TCOLE and it spoke briefly about HB 121. What I gathered is the 06/07 signs are moot until you receive verbal warning to leave. Can someone elaborate on this? Thanks.
I believe someone misinterpreted the wording of the law. It is a crime to walk past a properly ...

Re: Drones
And registration is only required if the drone is over 250 grams. The Mavic mini comes in a 249 grams.
But don't you still have to comply with the airspace and altitude rules? And how do you know those if you're flying an unlicensed drone.
As a pilot, I'm concerned about ignorant drone ...

Re: Drones
As a drone hobbyists and Texas LEO, no you cannot shoot down a drone. You own the property not the airspace above it. Now if someone is flying 15ft above your backyard looking around your property, call the police. If I’m flying 200ft above I assure you my camera zoom isn’t like that of a ...

Re: Drones
They'll be useful in the coming years if you take the time to learn about them
Actually... I’m very interested in learning. My next planned large purchase isn’t another gun—of which I have plenty—it’s a a drone. I’m thinking in terms of the latest Mavik Mini, which is supposed to have ...

Re: Aggravated robbery in gun free mall
This mall is posted 06/07 at the main mall entrances only. Apparently these thugs didn’t see the sign and decided to rob this victim at gunpoint.
