Re: Three years ago today...

I was fortunate to be born and raised in Texas. I have lived in other states and countries while in the military. While Texas is not perfect (aka liberal cities), I cannot ever see myself living any other place. A heartfelt belated "Welcome to Texas!" :txflag:

Re: Blue Bell ice cream - recall

H-E-B Creamy Creations has slowly but surely replaced almost all the BB brought into our house. Except Cookies and Cream, BB is still #1 there. This. Good stuff especially since BB uses HFCS. HEB uses cane sugar. :iagree: The problem for us northerners (North Texas) is HEB won't (or can't) move up ...

Re: Off The Beaten Path - Clarksville, TX

Nice article. Thanks! Up until last year, I hunted just outside of Clarksville. The owner sold the land. Really good deer hunting in that area. One of the last Piggley Wiggleys' in Texas that I know of was still operating there a few years ago. :tiphat:

Re: New to CCW

Welcome to the forum! I also live (and work) in Garland and have a drawer full of holsters. Unfortunately none that would work for your guns. I did want to suggest that at the Garland Bass Pro and the Garland Academy stores have both let me "try" the holster to make sure it work before I bought it. ...

Re: Gexa Energy Pavilion

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but since I went there this past Saturday night, I thought I would give an update to those interested. Now called Dos Equis Pavillion, there are no signs posted that I saw, but there is a notice (just no weapons) on their website and there are metal detectors and wa...

Re: TX: brass knuckles, kitty keychain etc ban lifted...

AUSTIN — Texas lawmakers have passed legislation lifting the state ban on brass knuckles, kitty keychains and other self defense items. The Texas Senate gave the bill its final OK on Wednesday morning; it now heads to Gov. Greg Abbott for his signature or veto. https://www.dallasnews.com/news/texas...

Yeah. My lovely wife and my young Yesmeena made me a super BP for me Cake was her design and execution. I could not be happier. https://photos.app.goo.gl/QaEuq9MUyAM8TWXV8 Birthday was yesterday? Cake looks delicious, and I'm quite envious that my birthday gifts yesterday weren't as plentiful and f...

Re: A somewhat unique situation.

Short answer: Your good on the bus, your "legal" at work, but could (and probably will) be fired if caught at work. As for keeping it in a safe and refusing to open if asked, I can't answer, but I work for city government and they search anything they want of mine if they suspect something. (ie.. dr...

Re: Gatlinburg, Tennessee

Thanks for the input so far...feel free to keep it coming. :tiphat: I was wondering about the Ole Smokey Moonshine Distillery. I'm assuming as long as your not drinking and just on a tour it may be ok to carry, but not sure on that one. I don't know how they have their system set up like our 51% sig...

Gatlinburg, Tennessee

We will be staying almost a week in Gatlinburg, TN. in mid June. For those of you that have been there, looking for things to do in the area and any laws for carry I need to know about. I have already checked out ushandgun, but need more specifically the Gatlinburg area. Thanks in advance! :tiphat:

Re: Mercy Killing of Animals

I am pretty certain one has to call a game warden even if it is in season. Why?? I don't call a game warden every time I shoot a deer while legally hunting. I have put down quite a few gimpy deer while hunting. It's called culling the herd. As long as everything is legal (ie. season, tags, your pro...

Re: Mercy Killing of Animals

Upon dispatching, one should also process and eat said animal. Not Legal. Supposed to let the game warden or sheriff deputy pick it up and take to a processor. The meat goes to various government run schools for orphans, deaf and blind, etc. I was kidding. But the warden can give you permission to ...
