And if you are Christian, Jesus changed it to only two Commandments in Matthew 22:37-40.srothstein wrote: ↑Sun Apr 30, 2023 9:20 pm
I agree. My biggest question was which Ten Commandments do you post, the Jewish of the Christian? They are different.

Re: Militancy
Reminds me of the guy in a road rage incident. He had an NRA sticker on his back window. His antagonist called the police, saying he had brandished his weapon and was waving it around. The guy in fact had a firearm in his vehicle but he had never exposed it in any manner. The other driver just made ...

SB 1515 is just wrong
I can't believe anyone would support having the government tell us what religion we should be posting. This a clear violation of the 1st Amendment.

"It'll be interesting if he likes the apartment enough to challenge them over it."
IMHO, if you really like the apartment, sign the lease, say nothing and keep a copy of 92.026 handy. Nobody will ever know anyway. (unless he does something stupid)

Re: "Felony" sign
I think they were trying to invoke the 51% sign. Many venues hire contractors to provide cash bars and their license is always 51% because they don't sell anything but spirits. The interpretation has been that their posting their 51% sign now makes the entire venue off limits to LTCs. Your decision ...

Re: Traffic stop in Houston
My last two stops with DPS Troopers were unpleasant because they didn't know the law. Had to win one in court. I won't elaborate due to forum rules.
On the other hand, I've had very pleasant conversations about LTCs and hand guns and gotten warnings.

Re: Renewal
The fact the you received the letter means your account at DPS is ready for renewal. There is no reason for delay, your new expiration date will be based on the current expiration date, not how early you renew. The DPS portal will tell you if anything is needed. I did mine last year and got my new p...

Re: Marines to eliminate scout sniper teams
Is the govt just stupid now? What do you mean "now"? Weren’t the Marines the first marine snipers? One of the first jobs some Marines were assigned was acting as sharpshooters from the rigging to defend the ship from boarders and to assist in boarding operations of enemy ships. The office...

This happened in July 22. No further action noted on an IL gun forum I frequent. It did say police detained a juvenile who showed up at a hospital with a gunshot wound related to the case.

Re: Illinois AWB is RIDICULOUS
Illinois already requires proof to buy ammunition, have for years. You must have a FOID card to even possess a firearm in IL (Firearm Owners ID), and you must either show your FOID or your IL CCL to but ammo. I have an IL CCL. It is my understanding the FOID has undergone some legal challenges and t...

Re: How early can you renew?
If you are inside the 6 month window, log into the DPS site. If you are eligible, it will allow you renew. No point in delaying renewal. Your new license will expire 5 years after your current expiration date.
