Re: Report expired paper tags

You posted on a public forum, so please don't get mad when you get pushback.... While I'll admit I'm sort of a rule follower myself and get a little tweaked sometimes when I see people flaunting the law, it's mostly speeders, tail gaiters and people parking in handicap spots... But those are things...

Re: Just poking fun at you 1911 guys

The OP video had nothing to do about the pro/cons of a 1911, but was just a big product review, could have been about any gun. What a waste.

FWIW, I have a Colt M1911A1 built in WWII, and it eats everything I feed it, and it has never failed.

Re: Hawaiian Shirt - the new "hoodie" for the far right.

I hate IWB, so I love my Hawaiian shirts this time of year. For the record, to be a real Hawaiian (or Aloha) shirt: - it must be made in Hawaii - the pocket pattern must exactly match the shirt pattern it is sewn over - the buttons must be a natural material, such as bone or wood At least that's wha...

It has come to this - registering knives

In the UK of course, because if you can't get a gun, and you want to kill somebody, you'll find a way.

Re: Wearing a mask while LTC

I have also seen posts on other forums of LTC holders using the excuse to not wear a mask because it is illegal. There are probably some LTC Instructors passing out bad gouge as well.

I tell them - show me the Penal Code paragraph, and I get crickets.

Re: What is privilege

Yeah, you just keep living in your narrow minded reality. When you can step out of your comfort zone, and meet someone in your community who is struggling, then maybe you’ll understand. Until then, you have no credibility.

Re: Police Officers need our Support

When they abolish their unions and put their bad actors on report, I'll support them again. Most all out are good, hard working officers whom I'm proud to associate with. But they need to stop the culture of shielding abusers of authority. There are a lot of other professions that could do this as w...

For future reference, the river road between Presidio and Lajitas is a top motorcycle ride.

Re: Driving to Michigan - have 1 main question

No need to avoid IL since you have a Texas LTC. IL law allows anyone with a valid state CCL to conceal carry in your vehicle, you do not have to unload or lock in a safe, etc. You can't carry outside your vehicle. You can also "transport" your weapon in a case, say to carry into your hotel room (reg...

Re: Man who died from knee to neck was from Texas

A number of Police Chiefs have commented that there is no restraint procedure that would include putting a knee on the neck. Regardless of the history of the victim, the officer clearly violated established norms, regardless of motive. I am also disturbed by the inaction of his fellow officers.

Re: Active shooter reported near Naval Air Station, Texas

The last several times I visited an Army post to go to the hospital, it was soldiers at the gate. Congrats to the sailor who kept the presence of mind to raise the barricade after being run down. I thought someone once said "women can't fight". Women can fight. The US Field Artillery has had women ...

Re: Printable Texas Administrative Code

The risk of creating a separate document is that it can go out of date, and you have to be vigilant to keep it current, depending on how much you rely on it for legal matters. In my industry, engineers were no longer allowed to keep reference hard copy documents at their desks to ensure they were al...

Re: Ethanol free

It is illegal to use Avgas in motor vehicles that use public roadways because no road taxes have been paid. Also Avgas has lead in it (it is 100 octane) and would eventually destroy your catalytic converter.
