Re: FN Reflex SAO with no Manual Safety
I love the FN Reflex. Great gun.
I am looking for others' opinions on carrying a single action only, hammer-fired, with no manual safety. FN specs says it has a 5lb trigger. Mine ranges 4.25 - 5.25lbs. To me, any SAO hammer fired should have a manual safety. Is my brain stuck in 1911 thinking ...

Re: 1911 Shooters Thumb on/off Safety
I've taken many firearms classes but not one specifically with a 1911. I've always shot my Glock's for pistol classes and I guess the closest experience would be an AR class I took a few years back. When the rifle comes up, you toggle the safety off. When you are come off target, the safety comes ...

Re: The 1911, My First Love
I thought I had responded to this before. I love 1911's but I've found the older I get, the heavier I find them. I normally carry a Glock 17 and love the capacity and the weight for what it is. Plus I don't mind beating up on it where as my 1911, I bought it for my dad 25 years ago for his birthday ...

Re: Man dies clearing malfunction at Ft. Worth range
My friend who has a membership at the Alliance location is inviting me to shoot there on Sunday. He's a very newbie shooter. Enough so that he and his wife took a beginners shooting class at Shoot Smart. Not faulting him and think it was a smart thing to do. He's fully gotten into firearms picking ...

Re: Truck Guns!
Not sure if it's allowed or not but I'd like to share something that Gabe Suarez just posted directly related to this. Basically carrying a truck gun won't work/happen for the majority of people. 1) Most won't bother to consistently keep the truck gun available. 2) The pistol is what most people are ...

Re: Man dies clearing malfunction at Ft. Worth range
Very sad. Bad things can happen when you don't follow the basic firearms rules. What's even scarier is that good friend of mine that's new to firearms just got a membership there.

Re: Truck Guns!
Never feel a need to carry an AR during the turbulent year of 2020. But then again, I didn't got a whole lot of places that had me worried and stayed close to the house at night. Even now, I do not feel a need to carry an AR. I normally carry a full size Glock 17 with an extra magazine. MAYBE I ...

Re: new carry belt.. suggestions?
I've been wearing my Kore Essential Belts for the last year or so. I'm happy with them.
I've had multiple belts from Wilderness and another company that, although very good, the owner of the company was extremely rude (and that's putting it nicely). I have a couple of the Kore belts and I ...

Re: Sling mount question
Not really a fan of any sort of bungee action on a sling. My personal preference is the Vicker's Blue Force Gear 2 point sling. I like being able to push out on the gun and have the tension to steady the gun. Not sure if that makes sense or not. Also I like the ability to adjust that tension with ...

Re: Machete attack near Houston- Grimes County
I've seen a knife attack when I was overseas in the Philippians. Pretty scary stuff and a machete is worse because of the swinging ability of the blade. Most people aren't prepared to react and simply stand there. Glad this guy got caught.

Re: My New Carrier Revolver and an Addition to my Gun Bench
Very nice! I have the .357 LCR and it's a great gun, very smooth trigger. I want a .327 version as well as a .22 LR and .22 Magnum as well. I love being able to carry it in my pocket (in a pocket holster) as well as throw it in an IWB and OWB holster.

Re: Texas State Fair Carry Rules
Yall should message the East Texas State Fair and let them know that an auto show would greatly increase your interest.... :cheers2:
:tiphat:
I think there might be confusion about what you are and are thinking. I'm talking about a manufacturers auto show and not a car show put together with ...
