Re: Psych patient OC's past 30.06/.07's, claims he's OK to do so.

That being said, I am kind of on the fence about providing a private entity, information, on prohibiting carry, by LTC holders, whether they are psych patients or not. While the LTC holder was obviously ignorant about the law, he was no more so than those who posted the signage. In my opinion, if y...

Re: Should we abolish the Electoral College?

Abolishing the Electoral College would require a constitutional amendment. I don't think it has the votes in either congress (2/3 required) or enough states to ratify. The next option would be a constitutional convention, which I have heard both sides call for. I am completely opposed to that option...

Such a neat little town in a beautiful part of Texas. The golf course is lots of fun to play and really unique.

Re: Wear seat belts - even in the back seat!

I remember in HS physics we had to calculate the force a lap dog exerts when coming to a stop in a certain distance from a certain speed. Then we bumped that up to a baby in a lap. This was the late 80's. I don't remember the exact numbers but I do remember it made an impression. The lap dog was in ...

Re: HB 2949 - Expedited Special License for Certain At-Risk Persons

I just skimmed the bill, but I didn't see where the person would be exempt from any of the required steps. It looks to me like they just get put at the front of the line. It also pretty much spells out what it takes to get designated at risk. So it makes me wonder, who else actually read the bill be...

Is "protective order" the same as a "restraining order"?
A quick google search came up with a divorce lawyers website in Frisco that explains the difference. They are not the same thing.

I think the concern to allowing the sale to a friend, or relative is they could always give it back. Yes, that would make them guilty of a felony too (I think it would be a felony) but I'm not sure that matters.

Re: Texas Woman Posing For Photo With Rifle Shoots And Kills Boyfriend

In the second article it appears the defendant called it an assault rifle. She made a statement and that statement is in quotes. The term assault rifle is within those quotes.

I don't think its the author of the article calling it an assault rifle.

I live close by and put in my vote in favor.

I struggle a little understanding why people would be so opposed.

Re: Pig Hunting

I had a 4 lb ham from a 70lb pig I shot back in the spring.

I followed the directions from amazingribs.com to create a picnic ham. It soaked for 9 days in a brine solution and then 6 hours on the smoker finished with a home made mustard BBQ sauce.

It fed 6 and there wasn't a scrap left.

Re: TX: Austin man acquitted of criminally negligent homicide in shoving death

The second link has a couple similar stories that had different outcomes. This sounds like it was a bench trial and the judge was sympathetic to the defendant. I wonder if a jury would have been as sympathetic.

I'm glad he was found not guilty.
