My background check took one week. There was a long weekend in there though. I submitted on 1/6 and received plastic yesterday, 1/24. After the BG, printing was one more day before changing to mailed.

I actually uploaded my documents AND snail mailed them. I uploaded on 1/6 and put a copy in a postal pick up box the same day. The mailed wasn't picked up from the box until the evening of 1/7. So, I guess I double submitted.

Received plastic in the mail today.

49 days from submission to mailbox.

My wife's status changed to "mailed" today. She turned all her documents in around the middle of December. I couldn't take the course with her. I was out of town that day. My stuff was turned in Jan. 6th. Maybe I get lucky and am only 2-3 weeks away.

I submitted mine and my wife's online today and received confirmation emails back on both indicating the paperwork was received. I agree the online submission is faster (same day), cheaper (free), and it comes with receipt confirmation. Why wouldn't you submit it online?

I filled out my online application, paid, and setup fingerprinting. When I printed my FAST form to take to the appointment, the CHL Application ID field was blank. Do I need this or can FAST look it up? Or, do I simply submit the form with the Checklist and other documents?
