Re: Ruger American Predator

Mine has a threaded barrel with a muzzle break. But yes it is higher than I wanted to spend as well but putting to my shoulder changed my mine. Can't wait to scope it and see what it will do. After I read your earlier post I saw a Bergara on Cabelas site used for 699.99 without a threaded barrel so...

Re: Ruger American Predator

I have heard good things about that rifle. The Ruger was winning the race for the 6.5 in my world till yesterday. While I was at the range someone had a Bergara B 14 in 6.5 Creedmoor for sale. All that can be said is wow, I wasn't planning on spending any amount close to what the Bergara cost, howe...

You have chosen a nice rifle in a good caliber. I or my wife have this rifle and about 10 more in various calibers in the Ruger American series. All are fine shooters with very good accuracy. You will not be disappointed with the rifle or caliber.
That's good to hear

Ruger American Predator

I wanted to pick up a inexpensive rifle and looked at the Thompsons, Savages and Ruger American and decided on the Ruger American Predator in 6.5 Creedmoor. Does anyone have this rifle? This will be my first rifle in this caliber but I have read a lot of positive stuff about it. Just picked it up to...

Re: Let’s talk .22 pistols

I have been tossing around the idea of getting a .22LR pistol and researched several and if I do get one I will get the Beretta M9 22LR pistol and I know its made by Umarex in Germany but so are Walther and S&W M&P 22LR Pistols but I like that that the Beretta operates like its 92 counterpart and th...

Re: If you could only carry a revolver

Guess I would have to carry my Ruger SP101 357 with a 4.2 inch barrel because right now its the only revolver I have but with a overall length of over 9 inches it may be hard to conceal

Re: Leather holsters

Thanks for your input but as I said in my post Im not interested in other choices as Ive akready narrowed my choice to those two Understood... of the two you mentioned, the Privateer appears to be MUCH more refined. I wouldn't even consider the southern trapper over the Privateer for the price it's...

Re: Leather holsters

I'm impressed. The stitching is top-notch, the edging/burnishing is excellent as is the detailing/boning; I don't regret the wait or the $130 for a second and it's probably the only holster I'll ever need for this pistol. Thanks Andy I appreciate hearing from someone who has one of the two holsters...

Re: Leather holsters

If I remember right the webisite says the cutlass rides low so does it conceal good? It does ride slightly lower - I have long arms so drawing is faster/easier for me with a lower holster. I didn't buy it for concealment, so I can't speak to that aspect - but here it is with me wearing it, to give ...

Re: Leather holsters

I've bought from Wes at Privateer - excellent communications throughout the process and his lead-times were accurate. This is the Cutlass model I have (left the pic big so you can see the detail): https://i.imgur.com/mdKoLJq.jpg If I remember right the webisite says the cutlass rides low so does it...

Re: Leather holsters

For that kind of money, I'd go with a name I knew... The southern trapper is similar to the I-Bak by Milt Sparks but the Sparks is molded all on the outside for extreme comfort and is a known commodity. https://www.miltsparks.com/products-i-bak.php The other one I would steer you towards would be t...

Leather holsters

I am planning on purchasing a HK 45C soon and have been searching the internet for a holster and Ive narrowed it down to two. The two I like are Southern Trappers Professional and Privateers Highman, do any of you have any experience with these two holsters? Im not interested in any other holster ch...
