Re: OK: Mom arrested after shooting 31 year old man in her 16 year old daughters bedroom

If you look at the link there is a lot of information that is not provided. Based on where they found the guy and how it seems she called the police after she shot him and he fled. .sounds like there was another motive

Re: Verbal Notice

The way I look at it is dependent on WHAT/HOW it is said to you when you are given the verbal notice. If its, "hey sir, we need you to leave because we don't allow guns on the premises." then as far as I'm concerned the warning is only good for that visit. Now... that being said.. the smart and resp...

Re: TAA lease asking for LTC?

Ive lived in an apartment with a clause in the main lease that says no firearms are allowed on the complex, for years(and ive had guns they know about for all of those years.) The reason for these types of clauses (depending on the landlord of course) are usually not to keep people from having guns....

Background, for all other qualifications I am eligible for a Texas LTC. I moved here from Illinois and am now a Texas resident with a Texas driver's license and address. The issue I can't seem to find an answer too, I was arrested in Illinois about 2- years ago for a misdeamnor for unlawful possess...

Re: Chest Holster Legal For Open Carry?

As an LEO I have to say that a lot of people on this thread are reading into this a little much. I would like to point out that while I don't speak for all LEOs out there I can definitely speak for some in saying that the MAJORITY of LEOs are PRO-GUN and PRO-CARRY. So if you decide to use one of the...

Re: Watching Ice Melt - YETI VS. WalMart

I bought a yeti 30oz tumbler on a whim when I was buying my last rifle at cabelas. They had just come out and were becoming more and more popular. I instantly fell in love with it. about 4 or 5 months later I found a company selling yetis that were powder coated and engraved with the logo of my alma...

Re: Any Active/Former LEOs??

SAPD has had a lot of internal issues. however if you can get over that then the pay is exceptional the longer you stay there. There are pros and cons to anywhere you go. With a sheriffs office you get more jurisdiction and usually a little more freedom. However with a PD you dont have to worry abou...

Re: Feral Hogs

This post reminded me to post on here and ask... Does anyone know anywhere within, say, 100 miles of the city of Lubbock that I could go out and shoot a feral hog? Yes, I know they are everywhere, but does anyone on the forum have land (or know someone with land) in that area that would be willing t...

Re: Carrying in car with kids interpretation?

If the weapon is under your immediate control (within wingspan, or on your person) then it doesn't matter. If however, you leave a firearm available in the vehicle with a child under 18, say for instance if you step out of the car for a moment and the child stays in the car, you could be charged cri...

Re: Cant mention guns at work?

Id say that's encroaching on first amendment rights. Yes its their business, their building, but you aren't making statements to the public about firearms that reflect the companies opinion on firearms, and you aren't harassing anyone. Id say that's a civil lawsuit waiting to happen.. one that, that...
