Re: Corona Virus (2019-nCoV) from China: Its going to be bad.

Here is a Google doc that someone put together with info on cases in different countries. There are multiple charts/ graphs with up-to-date counts.

Re: Corona Virus (2019-nCoV) from China: Its going to be bad.

This is a lengthy video from a couple of guys who have lived in China. It discusses the factors (govt, hygiene, cultural beliefs, etc) there that can lead to worsening an outbreak such as the current one. Also mentions some recent information from doctors in the affected areas. I haven't finished wa...

Well, it was unanimous, so it was all of them.

Re: Is there any recent movement on SB 117?

Right, but if I"m understanding correctly, it passed the Senate and then was passed on to the House where it died in committee. It's my understanding that the chair of that committee is a Dem appointed by Bonnen.

Re: Is there any recent movement on SB 117?

I was afraid that was what had happened. That was the bill that I care the most about, since it affects me frequently. Sounds like something I can thank Bonnen for?

I think he liked your synopsis. I saw the above quote as a dig at the original article (i.e. waste of time reading the article, the synopsis communicated all the relevant information in a more concise fashion).

Re: FedEx drops NRA deal by snail-mail

From the original (Reuters) article above: The $56 billion logistics company says the closure of its NRA discount program from Nov. 4 has no connection to that [Pittsburgh synagogue] incident or any other shooting. Rather, the NRA just didn’t bring in enough business to merit its own deal. It’s amon...

Re: Android Phone Randomly Goes Directly to Voicemail

Doesn't sound like exactly the problem, but it's worth a try: Dial *73 (for Verizon) or whatever your cell company uses to turn off all call forwarding. Google "turn off call forwarding" without the quotes and tmobile or at*t or whatever. I'd recommend doing it even if you don't think it applies. I...

Re: Another armed teacher poll

Can bots do this? It's very easy to do. One time a year or two ago similar fishy numbers were discussed on this forum or a similar one. One of the posters told how easy it was and said "All you have to do is... (insert some computer mumbo jumbo that didn't sound too difficult). I showed my teenager...

Re: Advice/Input on Making a Supply Run to Houston

Update to the story posted above about Rockport. This report says they still need supplies and volunteers, and that they do have a warehouse to store the supplies in.

Re: Advice/Input on Making a Supply Run to Houston

I just saw that Rockport is asking for a temporary halt to supply donations. They have more material goods than they can handle at the moment. http://www.kristv.com/story/36268043/rockport-officials-ask-for-material-donations-to-stop-temporarily "Once the city has a handle on exactly what supplies a...

Wonderful WWII Brit Commando Documentary on Netflix

I just watched the first episode of a 4 episode documentary called "Behind Enemy Lines." It's a documentary on the British commandos of WWII. The men who participated tell their stories and even demonstrate some of their training, although they are near 80 years old. Very interesting and touching. T...
