Hand my DL and say "I do have a CHL but I am not carrying any weapons today".

I read on another thread that DPS has done away with online status changes. One thing that I did notice when I checked one day there were links to change adress, report lost card etc that were not there before. I believe that's the sign it's close. I submitted my complete package on 11/24/14 ...

So the scenario is:


i goto meet friends and i see a 51% sign, so i go back to the car where i keep a pistol lock box in the trunk, can I just pull my gun out of my IWB and then secure in trunk and not worry if anyone happens to catch me in the act of being un-concealed?

Thanks everyone, Very good advice, and i think i'll error on always presenting it and just stating whether i am or am not carrying, Probably all involved would feel better.
Not that i plan to get pulled over anyways :-)

For most of us yes, however there have been a few who have reported that the status never changed and they got their plastic.

From looking at the October, November and December "waiting" treads, it looks like the average wait time until your status changes on the website is from 18 to 19 days from the time everything is submitted. Well today is 19 days from the day that I got everything submitted and I checked the DPS ...
