Re: Alaskan homeowner kills two trespassers, charged with murder

I wondering if he had spoken to the police thru his attorney if things would have been different.

Looks like another case of only "name, rank and serial number" and the rest of the story when I have an attorney,

Re: Your thoughts

Many years ago my wife and I were on the motorcycle somewhere south of Joe Pool lake on the country back roads. For a number of miles a Bell OH-58 Kiowa played peak-a-boo with us from behind hedge rows. Likely a training exercise for him. He didn't smoke us and he didn't crash. All ended well. :-)

Nicely done!
One constructive recommendation. On the inside of the ring, break the edge with a small radius both sides. That improves the feel of the ring on the finger and is less irritating.

Nice collection of pistols and picture comparisons. I have G26 and G43 and the 365 has had my attention. Luckily, I think, I've not had a chance to handle one yet.

That Glock 27 is showing a little holster wear. :biggrinjester:

Re: NIB 9mm pistols FS, price lowered

LDB415, The Walther website for the 99c does not differentiate the different model options by number. It is described as "striker" fired with DA/SA capabilities. If you have the box the label may/should have information as to DAO or "Quick-Action". Current model has "AS"...

Re: EDC Gun Maintenance

My IWB 'plastic' holster on the body side gets more attention than the gun. Small bottle of gun oil and q-tips to swap the metal hardware to keep the body sweat from rusting fasteners. Once, maybe twice a week during the hot sweaty months. Gun gets a dust bunny blowdown once a month and cleaning aft...

I'm one of the 10% and will not cross over to the 90 side. My non-lethal tools are deescalate, step back or step around the corner. Like spray they don't always work, but there is no pause to shake the can or check wind direction. If the other person continues to raises the threat level, plan "...

Re: HAM study material

The West books are geared to pass the test. The ARRl material takes a different and deeper path to learning which might help you. Like Acoustics, electronics can have a complexity to it too. I can't say that I know of any specific course material that directly ties it all together. Only missing a co...

Re: LTC Oliver North to become NRA President

I like North, but I expect his promotion to be rather polarizing. Not going to win many new hearts and minds. Won't take long for MSNBC to roll out the Iran/Contra videos. Not sure who I would have recommended, perhaps someone of the female gender. I'll support Col. North, of course. The flip side ...
