Re: Amy Coney Barrett

... At this point you’re just allowing the Dims to show their ignorance, hate and divisiveness again. ... I believe this was part of Mitch's plan. Let the undecided voters see how sharp she is and how rabidly pathetic the Dem senators are. At the moment there are not enough GOP senators to hold a s...

TX: Pizza Hut gal rousts robbers with mezzaluna

I didn't know the word "mezzaluna" existed before I read this. Three guys with a crowbar invade Pizza Hut to rob it. One guy goes into the kitchen and assaults a female employee who is holding a "mezzaluna-type pizza cutter" (basically a sword-size knife with a big curved belly and a handle on each ...

Re: TX: Won't-be-victim takes robbers' gun and shoots them

It appears the same location was the site of a capital murder during a robbery in May 2020. Police looking for two suspects who left in an SUV. Stories say "retail complex" in the 5200 block of Aldine Mail Route, same description as the incident in the OP. https://www.newsbreak.com/texas/houston/saf...

Re: Amy Coney Barrett

I've been watching in the background of work the last couple days. She has been on point and poised throughout, unflappable and articulate. Really impressive showing. Her handling of Klobuchar was excellent along with several others. News is showing some of the more outrageous soundbites but the ot...

How terrible to have a Christian on the Supreme Court. What is the US coming too. Next thing you know we will be one nation under God. I wish.

TX: Won't-be-victim takes robbers' gun and shoots them

Re: Church shooting in Tarrant County - White Settlement

Try looking at the fifth amendment of the Constitution of the United States. "No person shall be held to answer for a capital or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury..." Which does NOT say that ALL homicides must be presented to the grand jury. It just say...

Re: Waller County

.,, Have not filed waiting for outcome on the Austin and Waller County Case. I just noticed this. Depending on how badly you would like to see your local government thumped, you may wish to reconsider on holding off filing a complaint. In Paxton versus the city of Austin, The AG Argues that the cit...

I am also not a lawyer but I think you stated this very well and I generally agree. I just wanted to make one minor technical correction. ....
Thanks!

Re: Waller County

What, if any, are the next steps to take? I doubt that anything further will happen in this case specifically because the same general issue is being litigated against the city of Austin and it is at the appeals court level. In every other courthouse case were the attorney general has found against...
