Re: Colt Suspends Civilian AR-15 Manufacturing

Colt has a contract to convert 500,000 or so M4s to M4A1s. AFAIK, it is the only DOD contract they have, or at least the only sizable one. They are not a supplier for the new generation of 6.8mm rifles. They cannot afford to do poorly on the government contract, they need this to remain a viable gov...

Did not have an inkling about that. Thanks for posting.

Re: GA: 3 masked teens killed in shoot out with homeowner

I have read other stories that mention both the masked ones shooting (first) at the homeowner, and the homeowner returning fire with a rifle. 3 v 1 is an excellent reason for 1 to have a semiautomatic rifle with substantial ammo capacity.

Re: This Day History Elsewhere: Operation Market-Garden

When I was stationed at NATO Airbase Geilenkirchen in Germany, right on the border with the Netherlands, I used to go to a British history club meeting across the border in Heerlen. One night there was a British major who gave a talk on Operation Market-Garden, and he was offering a bus tour of the ...

IN: Armed citizen captures fugitive

I first read about this as a post on the Indiana gun owners forum by the father of the armed citizen. There’s now a brief news article on it as well. Is it just my imagination or does Houston have one heck of a lot of violent crime?
