From what I have read in other posts, it is 50 rounds for the LTC screening which must be passed at 90% just like when you did your initial instructor qual and then it is 150 rounds in various drills which will be explained in the class and not to be shared.
Thank you.

Re: Course of Fire-School Safety Certification Instructor Training Class

Ok, I read from the other School Safety Certification Instructor Training Class thread that only one gun is needed. Can someone explain why the 200-rd of ammo. Do we take the LTC Proficient test more than once or there are some training drills?

DPS just confirmed me for the October class.

If anybody else from the board is in that one, let me know.
I got confirmation for Oct. 29-30.

Course of Fire-School Safety Certification Instructor Training Class

What is the course of fire for the School Safety Certification Instructor Training Class? I received a PDF stating bring either a semi or a revolver (not both ) and 200-rds of ammo. Can someone recently attended the class to confirm either semi or revolver (not both)? Also, please explain the 200-rd...

Re: S&W M&P 380 EZ QUESTION

I bought one as a rental gun for beginner shooters. One of the reason for purchase this particular gun was it was very easy to rack the slide. One can easily rack the slide with one finger position on the front edge of the front sight. it is easy to shoot and recoil is soft. Good pistol for a novice.

Re: Disqualifiers for getting a CHL

Here is a question for you all. What if Texas DPS disqualify a Texas resident for a LTC license, and a less stringent stated that has a reciprocity agreement with Texas issue a CCW to this person? Can this person use another state's CCW permit in Texas, therefore, circumvent Texas laws?

I mailed mine in end of January 2017. They cashed the check on Feb 10th. I'll be taking the course roughly a year and nine months after application.
Ok, thanks. It looks I am getting closer.

Re: On line classes have started

So for me, it still requires me to "rent" a classroom which is the same cost as if I taught the entire class. I don't see any benefit here. My fixed costs remain the same and my overall income will be reduced.

Re: School Safety Certification Instructor Training Class

I have been on the waiting list for the class since March 2017. I just called DPS and they said there is no update on my class. isn't one year wait excessive?

Re: On-line Student Proficiency

So, if we now have approved "On-line Instructors", doesn't it naturally follow that some of us may start getting proficiency testing request from these folks that did the class on-line? Anyone have any idea what that "not less than one hour, not more than two" is supposed to consist of? Who...
