Re: Indoor Range in Roanoke

March is the tentative date...no worries posting it. However, the best-laid plans, sometimes screw up. But things are coming together. Production of custom 1911's in 3, 4, and 5 inch models is underway as well.

Re: Never going to QUAIL CREEK again!

Funny you mention they should go out of business. I have heard rumors for 18 months that 2008 is their last year of operation. I think they are tired of the whole range business. Last spring, 1/2 mile south of the range, some lady sitting in her trailer at a Texas Motor speedway event was hit by a ...

Re: Never going to QUAIL CREEK again!

I to have had a run in with the range nazi. The issue was I had a stapler that was of the straight type. He yelled at me to not to use this type that it would damage his boards. I told him I would not use it and that maybe he needs to get better boards. He said the ones they use are expensive enoug...

Thank you...We are working hard to get things off center. Architecture and other issues are completed, now we look for some calming on the economy and banking in order to help us keep the momentum.

Re: Indoor Range in Roanoke

Okay, I'm excited to see a new range going in. Just to clarify, when you say a "Bay" you're talking about the full range which might have 6 or 8 shooting positions (lanes maybe) not one shooting position. We plan to have 2 bays with 15-20 positions each., It just may have to come in phase...

Re: Indoor Range in Roanoke

The recent economic issues have caused a hiccup with banking and lending, so we are doing a few work-arounds to get things moving. We will have 2 bays for pistols. One will be dedicated to LE and training, the other will be open to our customers. There will be memberships in order to know who is sho...

Re: Indoor Range in Roanoke

We also plan to have one "tactical' range bay where shooters will be able to go down-range (organized of course)..This range will have no stalls. We are in talks to acquire a new 300 degree simulator as well.

Re: Indoor Range in Roanoke

We area class 3 Type 2 (Manufacturer) for NFA. We hope to be very Class 3 friendly.

However, manufacturing a full-auto and allowing others to fire it indoors, are 2 completely different issues.

Re: Indoor Range in Roanoke

The ventilation will be light years ahead of OSHA and EPA requirements. There will be no reputation for us out there as being "dirty." We will have a lounge, just not certain as to the extent just yet. Bulletproof partitions are already on order. The shotgun issue s one we are looking into...

Re: Indoor Range in Roanoke

What else do you think people are looking for in a range? We know what we know from research and always look for more details from everyone who shoots. Any insight to make this the best place to shoot would be great.

Thanks in advance
