Re: SCOTUS: to rule on gun rights

Looks like at least one of the justices may think it is a moot point. https://dailycaller.com/2019/12/02/supreme-court-nyc-gun-argument/ That's Ginsberg. She stopped being a real justice a long time ago, if she ever was one. She is an activist who happens to wear the robe of a SC justice. Trump wil...

Re: Big Shoot-Out South of Eagle Pass, Texas

https://www.foxnews.com/world/mexico-cartel-member-gunbattle-police-texas-border Hopefully the Cartels won't be trying that north of the border. I think they eventually will. Sadly that's what it's going to take to lock the border down. A border town will have to be turned into a slaughter house to...

Re: Pistol Caliber Carbine Roundup

Does anyone on here have a Kriss Vector in 45ACP? I was looking at getting another PCC for the house (already have a SUB2000 that likes to live in the Jeep), and I figured 45ACP would be really easy to suppress. What are y'alls thoughts? The Kriss Vector is absolutely AWESOME... in it’s full auto v...

Re: Dumb kids steal AR parts - go back to same store to get them installed...

AR Pistol with a vertical grip? I don't understand what the issue is there. Is it the AR pistol or the vertical grip? With a vertical handgrip (Forward) installed an AR pistol is no longer a handgun and becomes an NFA item. There is one caveat to that rule, and that is if the oal from the end of th...

I know nobody owns one yet, but surprised that there is no mention of the LWRC smg 45. If I buy a pcc this will be the one!

Re: Leather thumb-snap Disengages 1911 Safety

I have an answer that folks don’t like hearing... ditch the thumb strap. I carry 1911’s all the time without a thumbstrap, in fact I’ve never owned a holster with a thumbstrap, and retention has never been an issue.

Re: Garrett Industries Silent Thunder OWB?

I have had a much better experience with pancake type kydex. With a belt clip like that your gun is going to sit that much farther off of your waist than if it had pancake style loops. Also being that there is only one belt retention point they tend to curl your belt making concealabiloty drasticall...

Personally, I’ll file this into the same folder as kids getting drugs in their halloween candy. It’s a round file, lined with a black bag.

Re: Reasons to get a 1911 and which one?

Series 70 vs Series 80- Series 70 is the original design and what is typically preferred. Seeing as how the pistol was adopted by the military in 1911, and the Series 70 modifications came out in 1970, I don't see how that can be. 1911 - is the original design adopted by the military in 1911. 1911A...

The pistol AndyC just listed on here would be a great first 1911!

Re: 1911 Carry

I carried in a galco king tuck for a few years before picking up an owb kydex holster. Unless you are just completely set on iwb, the comfort of owb FAR outweighs iwb carry. As long as you wear a quality belt and holster, it stays completely concealed and tight to the body for me with a shirt, vest,...

Re: Favorite carry method?

Conceal carry OWB at 2:30-4:00 depending on the situation with a mag carrier opposite OWB. Cover it with a shirt/jacket/vest.
