Re: Recommendations for a Cock-On-Closing Bolt Action Rifle

A bolt action shouldn’t require that much force to open. How do the locking lugs look? Is there any galling or bare metal on any of the mating surfaces?

Re: Battle Optic Grouping

TAM, thanks for your very well put together reply. I went back out today, on my own, and was able to take my time. In all I spent four hours looking down the scope so now everything appears a hair fuzzy. lol I shot several different brands/loads of ammo and found three I felt were superior, a few t...

Re: Protests - the next level?

I drove through a protest today. I didn't realize what it was until I was through it because I happened to catch a turn lane on a green light. But it was a suddenly sobering thing for me. This protest was happening at a major intersection (6 lanes crossing 6 lanes) in an outlying Dallas suburb. I h...

I cannot believe that anyone can justify what happened, especially on this forum of all places.

Re: Man who died from knee to neck was from Texas

And if you do, I predict that you will spend a long time in prison if you are not killed by the other cops on the scene, because you will not be able to convince a jury that you were actually witnessing a murder. But you will have saved the life of a potential murder victim, so there is that. My po...

Re: Man who died from knee to neck was from Texas

Would use of force be justified here in Texas against a cop doing that to a perp? Meaning - you witness this exact same scenario here in Texas...you tackle the cop to get him off the perp, etc....sure, you're going to probably get the snot kicked out of you, arrested, shot, tased...but...yeah, I'm ...

Re: Central Park Karen

I honestly couldn’t care less about the interaction between the man and woman. Holding that dog like that, for that long while it very clearly is giving signs that it is under distress, is what got under my skin. For that and that alone I hope they throw the boom at her. Now for acting the fool she ...

Re: Is this legal open carry?

Just curious here, but why open carry iwb? Personally I conceal 24/7, and have been known to carry iwb/owb. I felt that the purpose of an iwb holster, was to conceal the weapon better, at the expense of being generally more uncomfortable than an owb holster.

I have had great experience with American Defense. Larue seems to still be pretty great, but I like the quantitative data from the article TAM referenced.

I love lonestar handgun. If I’m going to pay to go to a gun range, I’d rather just pay for a whole bay and be by myself to run my drills.

Re: Which Glock to buy?

Get the one the fits your needs best, but contrary to other opinions the glock mos mounting system has had many issues. If you want an rmr on your glock, have the slide cut by a professional machining company.

Re: GA: "Jogger" chased and murdered

Let’s go ahead and acknowledge the gaping difference between a citizen’s arrest and using lethal force to perform a citizen’s arrest. There does not appear to be any defense to prosecution for lethal force during a citizen’s arrest. I’m not making any hasty judgements until all of the details come o...
