Re: A test for Anti-concealed carry

I had a long conversation with an anti gun person about a year ago. The gist of what they had to say was asking me what in the heck had happened to me to make me so afraid that I felt the need to carry a gun everywhere I go. They said that they could never live their life inside that type of fear. O...

Re: THE DISCONNECT BETWEEN RANGE MARKSMANSHIP & GUNFIGHT MARKSMANSHIP

...Of course, you are probably not going to find a shooting range that will let you practice the way I do. That is the biggest challenge. A good range that lets you do rapid-fire point-shooting at multiple targets is a rare and wonderful thing. I tend to rely on airsoft in my backyard, because even...

Re: HB 49 - Kill Daylight Savings Time

I like it the way it is currently. Light out until after 8PM in the summer. Dawn around 6:30 ish most of the year. As much as I don't like it dark by 5:30 PM (Standard Time), I prefer this to dawn coming after 7:30 AM in the short-day seasons (as would be the case if we kept DST all year). :tiphat:...

Re: THE DISCONNECT BETWEEN RANGE MARKSMANSHIP & GUNFIGHT MARKSMANSHIP

For me, training with a laser attached to my sidearm was the first step towards gaining some measure of marksmanship without using the sights. I would draw and point to a target at various distances without looking at the sights, and then flip on my laser. At first it was a bit startling to see how ...

Re: QuikTrip hiring 'hybrid employees' who can work while armed to deter crime, keep customers safe

I wonder if the armed employees OC. There would seem to be a problem with this in Texas, given the tight grip that the security industry has on any non-LEO security. I also wonder how they are handling the liability issue. Well in the article it said they were looking for people with law enforcemen...

Re: HB 131 - Here come "Extreme Risk Protection Orders"......

This is happening in Maryland, and the police shot a man when they were sent to confiscate his guns.

We do not need that here. There is no due process.

Re: HB 49 - Kill Daylight Savings Time

Filed as HB 49. Personally, if you want daylight savings time in your life, arrange with your boss to go to work earlier... That's not possible for me, and i doubt it is possible for 90+% of the workforce. And since I live on rural property, there are always jobs waiting on me when I get home that ...

They were found in the trunk of a rented car and labled as provisional...
But even though the provisional runs were deemed invalid, since they have now been mixed with other runs they cannot be removed and must count.

Re: Truck broken in to, pistol stolen...I’m mad at myself

I use Parking Spot as well. In the mid 90's I would park at the airport. One night I went to get my truck only to find my tailgate stolen. I went to DFW PD and they laughed and said "we got another one stolen". I did not think it was funny. Ever since I have parked offsite. A tailgate? Seri...

Re: owb holster for 1911

I'm sure there are lots of good choices out there. After trying several I found that this holster from El Paso Saddlery is extremely comfortable. When I wear my 1911, this is my go to holster.

Re: WA: Armed citizen holds bloodied knife man at Space Needle

I am amazed that the armed good guy was able to show that much restraint. And as soon as LEO showed up he put his gun down. He was cool and composed. Not sure I would be that cool after witnessing a stabbing murder. Did you see the blood all over the BG's hands and arms? that must have been a horrib...
