The liberals in Austin won't be talking about this one much. We may not hear much more about this incident.

Re: TX: Man killed after shooting up a Houston Whataburger

I don't get the grand jury part. BG is shooting up the place. Off duty security guard takes him down. What is there to decide? If it had been an off duty copy that shot the BG would they refer it to a grand jury? If the GGWAG had been an LTC holder, would they have arrested him?

Nope, you won't see the demented media reporting this one. They will never admit that private citizens carrying guns is good for society.

Awesome! I've seen a few speckled king snakes on my place, but never saw one eat a copperhead. What an experience!

Re: Should Congress End Qualified Immunity for Police Officers?

I'm thinking in public here, which is dangerous, but it seems citizens ought to be compensated when their government wrongs them. So if the government agent could not reasonably be expected to know his conduct was wrong, let the citizen recover from the government employer. If the government agent ...

Shooting in Dallas on DART Train

I couldn't find this posted anywhere else. Apparently there was a shooting on a DART train and the LTC holder was arrested, then released. It will be interesting to watch this play out. The shooter is claiming self defense.

I wear hearing aids and have to take them out for hunting. Do you think this would be acceptable for hunting? Do they work will enough to hear squirrels and deer?

Beto will win despite the hate.
There is no "hate." But, there is an awareness of dishonesty and bad character that you are obviously too blind to see.

Re: Hold over/under question

Of course it depends on what distance your sight is zeroed at, but shooting downhill you will tend to hit high. I think your author got their words twisted a bit, but you would have to aim a bit low when shooting downhill. 9 inches sounds a bit much at 350 yds, but it depends on the round and where ...

I'm not a germophobe, but shopping cart handles are about the nastiest thing you can encounter. I don't use them unless absolutely necessary. http://www.foxnews.com/lifestyle/2013/07/30/how-gross-is-your-shopping-cart.html A study of 85 random shopping carts conducted by Dr. Charles P. Re: Poll: Native or Transplant?

I was born and raised in Texas and never lived anywhere else. I am the 6th generation in my family to be born and raised in Texas, and I am not a youngster. I can trace my ancestry to a soldier who fought for the Republic of Texas under Sam Houston.

This! :thumbs2:

The media also chooses to take their polls in places where they can be sure they ignore us. Don't believe the polls. They all said Killary was a shoo in.

Re: Draw to Help a Firefighter?

I don't see haw drawing your gun would have helped at all in this particular situation. The maniac was trying to attack several fireman with a knife. I do not think he would have backed down from a private citizen with a gun. If anything, drawing a weapon under these circumstances escalates the situ...
