Generally not a fan of OC. 😉
You might be overestimating the snowflakes willingness to go "all in" for their cause and getting shot.
:iagree: I've been OC more recently and have yet to have anyone say anything to me, good or bad. I've experienced the venom of anti-gun types from behind their keyboards. They can be over the top in their speech. We have quite a few of them in this area, on the basis of the numbers of them that post on local social media groups. But I have yet to talk to any of my Conservative friends who had had an in-person "discussion" with one of them. When they get out from behind their computers, they seem to be all hat and not cattle.

They don't have any perspective of life outside their parent's basements.
Many here locally seem to be middle aged women who are married with kids. The ratio of apparent male posters with the same fiery tone or Millennials seems small. I detected that many or CA or NY transplants.

Or just stay at home moms, watching the View!!

I can't speak for everyone, but for me, I OC mostly for comfort. I have never found an IWB holster that was comfortable for me. I also don't like walking around with my shirttail hanging out. It was drilled into me as a child to tuck in my shirt. With CC, I always had to "dress around my gun" by either untucking my shirt, or wearing a cover garment, like a vest, or jacket, which gets very uncomfortable in the Texas heat.

I wear very conservative clothes, for the most part, so I don't "stand out" in a crowd. Therefore, when I OC, most people never notice it, even though it is a full size, M&P. I also try to look as neat and clean as possible, so as not to give a bad impression of OCers, to those who do notice. I am also very friendly, to those I encounter, whether, store clerks, waitstaff, or the general public. It has never been my goal, to draw attention, to the fact that I am carrying. Everyone who has noticed, and commented, on the fact that I'm carrying, have had nothing but positive things to say. That may not be the case everywhere in the State, and what works for me may not work for others, and that's fine.

Re: Thoughts on open carry

I OC the majority, of the time. I CC when at church, if I go into a 30.07 posted location, or if I am going somewhere, that there may be a large crowd, of people, just because I can't be as SA, when in a crowd. Most of my travels, don't involve going into large metropolitan areas, and I have never had a negative reaction to my OC.
In the winter, my gun is usually covered by a jacket, or coat, when outside, but I will remove it when inside.
I don't OC, to be obtrusive. In fact, either because of my style of dress, type of holster, my demeanor, or other's lack of SA, very few people even notice I am carrying.

To each their own. Not everyone, goes to the same places I do, nor do they encounter, the same people, so their method of carry is what they feel works best for them. JMHO
