Re: Not so hypothetical question regarding right to defend...

Re: Not so hypothetical question regarding right to defend...
Whether you are acting within the law or not is just one of the issues. The bigger question in this scenario is should you introduce deadly force from a risk versus reward perspective. Reward = recovery of personal property (car and its contents). Risks include shooting a by-stander inadvertently ...

Not so hypothetical question regarding right to defend...

What about same exact scenario in your home driveway?

Re: Road Rage Approached Driver With A Bat...
Since both drivers stopped and when approached, the second driver produced a stick apparently to re-enact the river crossing scene in Robin Hood. That would be considered mutual combat.
So what I'm saying is, based on the given scenario I would not have stopped unless caught at a light, or ...

Road Rage Approached Driver With A Bat...
I'm assuming most of you are familiar with the incident in Austin several weeks back where a road rage incident led to one driver leaving his vehicle with a bat and approached the other driver in his truck. The other guy got out and reached into the back of his truck and pulled out a stick of some ...

Yes we were taught exactly that in our CHL class. "Especially..." he added, "if there is a significant size difference between aggressor and potential victim." Fists can definitely be considered weapons.

How Should This Confrontation Be Handled?
Ok here we go, I'd really like to know what is going to be inside/ outside LTC law-
Hypothetically, a road rage incident of some kind takes place. We both have to stop at the next light. Driver approaches me on foot WITHOUT a weapon, words are exchanged. He decides to turn this into a physical ...

Re: OPEN CARRY WHILE ON A MOTORCYCLE?
Yes I do have LTC but in this brave new OC world I'm always trying to make sure I am interpreting the law correctly. thanks to all for the prompt replies. I do agree with the poster that mentioned it cutting back on tailgating - and car vs. mc ragers - I bet it works better than my get-back whip ...
