Well, I got back from California this afternoon. Actually, I got back last night, but spent the night in Amarillo...... Anyway, we are SO glad to be back, and both my wife and I commented on and agreed about a few things:

We are no longer "ex-Californians", we are Texans. Maybe not by birth, but ...

1. Two tier CHL system where an applicant can, after having had his original CHL LTC for 5 years with no infractions, and with additional training, tougher practical test, etc. would have a higher level of CHL that allows them to carry anywhere a police officer can carry.

They make hotel safes.. I knew it looked familiar. I have stored stuff in them dozens of times while traveling and the cruise ship I was on a few months ago had one of these in each cabin.
There is a pass code for the hotel ones ...

It seems that the folks she interviewed and then showed not having an answer, or looking away from the camera, actually have audio of the interview which makes her out to be an obvious liar......and ...

Not necessary. Carry by a LTC holder is already an offense under 46.03 (a) (1).

His door would have to be posted 30.06 separately for him to not be able to carry, because it cannot be accessed from the area that is 30.06 posted (the dorm).

Barring of course, the language for 30.06 being in his lease or provided to him otherwise.
